(2RY) Mother's nose is cold when she nudges me to feed. I don't mean to forget; I just get nudged aside n... forget.
Walking is so hard! Why won't my legs just listen?!?
(3RY) My littermates found a new favorite game...they think biting and tripping is fun now, but it's not because I'm usually the one being bitten and tripped for not wanting to play!
(4RY) Ohmystarstrainingstartstomorrow; I totally almost forgot! Oohh I hope I don't mess up my lesson—I don't want to forget anything!
(5RY) My first lesson was on tustling techniques. It... wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be; think I'll use some of what I learned to get my littermates to leave me alone, actually. There was this one really cool move Nightfang showed me, but I got distracted trying to sneak up on a butterfly, and now I don't remember exactly how it went!
(7RY) Ohmygosh Keentrick's Puppy talked to me! She offered to help me with some of my stalking techniques; I thought of this really cool idea where I could maybe incorporate some of my tustling skills into taking down prey; she—she uh...she helped me brainstorm how I could make it happen; she didn't think it was a stupid, scatterbrained idea.. She's right; I'm going to rock hunting basics tomorrow!
(11RY) I know I'm about to become a girl soon—moons how lessons have flown by! I forgot most of them. It's probably not the smartest, but I think I'm gonna help some of the just weaned puppies like Keentrick did with me. Brother teases me for making too many attachments, but I'd rather make too many attachments and still help than regret never helping at all.
(12RY) Ugh; my first hunt wasn't bad, but I already know brother's going to make this a nightmare. Most of my littermates have left for other packs, but he and I chose to stay for right now; as far as he's concerned I'm the weakest link because I am I'm so forgetful.
(15RY) I've... I've earned my Call name! I'll still need to train to earn my full name, but...I I'm not just a girl anymore... I'm called Snow now; I'm not sure what Brother's name is...
(16RY) Think I might've found a friend! There was a crow watching me eat—he looked pretty hungry, so I figured I'd give him some of our meat scraps. Maybe it's just because I've fed him, but I don't know... he'll pick bugs out of my fur—not even to eat, just to get them off of me; he's helped lead my mentors ro better trails when I go out to hunt, too.
I wish I could ask him his name—do crows even name themselves like we do? For right now I think I'll just make do with looks and gestures: it's not perfect, but at least it's something. Oh! Horizongaze's Puppies are actually old enough to be girls now—we'd shared the nursery together for some moons, so I never really thought about how much older than them I was...as much until I aged up; it'll be nice seeing them more again.
