Biography
She... she's gone.. I can't stay anymore.
The farm dogs were "kind" enough to allow me three days to leave our humans' land--on her behalf, apparently; tch. As if shed've wanted me gone. I probably could've stayed, but... I won't fight where she lived and died.
I'm staying with another wolf now, after not correcting maybe one of the most dangerous assumptions a wolf can make. She thinks I'm a lead wolf--me! I was... too scared she'd leave if she thought I wasn't; so I didn't say anything.
I'm dead; this lead wolf thing has officially earned me a target with death; Honeythorn --my... companion wolf? Can I even call her mine if I'm not a lead wolf with a Pack? Whatever; the wolf who thinks I'm a leader--Honeythorn's been telling damn near any lone wolf we stumble across that I'm an up and coming Lead Wolf!! Like...if she could just not!? That'd be great, it'd be great if she'd NOT do that, but she sounds so proud to have found a lead wolf I don't know how to go against what she says. I had to scramble to find some territory to claim for the THREE new mouths I'm apparently in charge of feeding and protecting now! Uuugghhh;.... what do I do when they all find out I'm in no way a leader?
So uh, yeah; I guess I'm doing this lead.. alpha wolf ....... thing. We actually have the numbers to be considered a decent sized pack, though it's clear we do need to work on that pack bond a bit. I've already managed to find and trade enough supplies to build a main den, a nursery, and a quarantine den for any wolves that are sick, but there's still so much to get done! I'm still not sure if I should build a den for our pack healer since WE DON'T FUCKING HAVE A PACK HEALER YET! What do I do when pack mates start getting sick?!? What if I do end up finding a halfway decent healer only to get them killed because I was too fucking lazy to just buildthemsomewhereSAFE!?..... What if I get everyone killed, or make my Pack miserable because I haven't the slightest damn clue what I'm doing.
My...my brother Maplefall has joined my pack....I didn't think I'd ever see him again.. In other news, uh, more importantly I guess, I think I've officially found our PPA; he'd tell me all about his when I was a girl, and according to him most packs have one; guess we found ours. I know she hasn't even been here a moon yet, but Fox is such a... whatever; as aloof and argumentive as she is, I can see she is trying. I'll...try some things and hope she integrates better with the Pack--definately keep her away from Earthen
I've been slipping more and more into this... dream realm; it's... strange. I feel as if I've been there before somehow, and yet I can never seem to find the same path twice. The most worrisome part about all this is that if I'm not careful... yeah, I can see myself staying there; howling and dancing with the fun shiny creatures with fun shiny thoughts, not a worry in sight about the loveable band of goobs I'm in charge of. It's freeing; it's dangerous as fuck. Stupid as it sounds, I don't think I should stay away; I can even seek it out in the night, if I concentrate hard enough. I found a doe in there; that could feed the entire pack and then some! For right now I think I'll tell Maplefall and Honeythorn about all this and be vigilant about this... feeling I have in my skin.
WHAT IN THE FUCKED OVER HELL MOON IS THIS?!?? What happened to ny NOSE? It doesn't... hurt.. or anything..
Uuugghhh Fox ... If she doesn't start getting along with the other wolves, maybe it'd be best to have her pupsit and ask Maplefall to take her place...
The mountains are fully scouted! Honeythorn and Tundra just finished their report to me, and they feel it's safe enough to explore and hunt there now. Where there are mountains there are usually elk; this discovery may be just what we need if we're to expand territory. I'll wait until the name our forest bleeds into is discovered, then talk to the pack about which place would be best for us.
Soo... Soulshade and Tundra don't like each other; got it. I took in three new young wolves; one is closer to a pup than he is a wolf, but the other two should be able to help out within the day; I think I'll ask Blazecalm if she's ok with being our Pack Herbalist...
It's been moons...the pack is doing well enough for now, though I can feel winter on the fall breeze. Honeythorn has been...distant, but I can't afford to worry about it right now; there's too many mouths to feed, and not enough experience to get the food we need.
We...we lost newborns. Coyotes managed to sneak in and get them, the heartless mange ridden cowards. It's my fault. I don't know how, but it is; I spend too much time away from them—maybe if I'd assigned the pups better, even!
Me and Honeythorn finally went to that nice spot she found in the taiga when she was scouting. It was...nice. She was so...breathtaking with the sunlight glinting off her fur, highlighting the gold in her pale fur. I..a part of me....if only it could be like this all the time—just us, resting in a really awesome nap spot taking in each other without having to worry about pack bickering, or food shortages......or deaths.
Honeythorn told me my coat's getting lighter; I don't really think that's... possible?
*Huff* Now my Herbalist is in the same fluff about my coat as Honeythorn is; even if it is guys, we've got bigger things to worry about right now!
Ok so uh.. I'm probably going to come into heat sometime within this moon or the next; which is, y'know—perfectly normal and all, but uh...I think my coat might actually be changing. Ugh—Lightheart's gonna be insufferable...
The scouts have reached far enough to actually discover the tundra this is GREAT! Imagine the sort of game our hunters could take from that place!
A puppy from Honeythorn's second litter got out of the den... she'd managed to get all the way to the Mother Bear, and she...she asked to stay. I'd always known she was gonna leave her pack—find a mate; I just...I didn't expect that drive to find her home pack to appear so soon! I told her she'd have to take a quarter moon to think on it.
Ugh! Some rotten pelted mongrel actually tore at me with his claws hard enough to leave one behind! I hope it hurt the b!:)h just as much as it hurt me!!
She's... she's serious about this.. Honeythorn's Puppy—the one that wants to stay with Mother Bear? It..a uh—it's been a quarter moon; if she wants to go, she is technically old enough to go, I suppose; surely it's better to make sure she gets there safe now than to risk her getting hurt or killed sneaking out of the pack, right?
Honeythorn's been visiting her pup at Mother Bear's during her scouts; she's actually explicitly banned me from going because apparently I might "overwhelm" the pack by taking all of the pups. It would be all of the pups; just the ones that need a good home...
The Pack's been kind of pissy with me lately since I told them about the pup me and Honeythorn decided to adopt. To be fair it was actually my—uh... Honeythorn herself who suggested it. When she told me about the little contrast eyed puppy I just...I had to meet her, Y'know? Apparently most of the other pups didn't play with her, and Honey told me her mother—the flea hearted, mange ridden scum that she was—just...abandoned left her there!?!! The whole pack took her out as if to celebrate her first wean, only to toss her to Mother Bear the second they realized they'd had a way to be rid of her!!! Obviously I had to meet her first, but it wasn't very hard to decide that little (name) belonged with a pack would love her us!
