Hazel

Queen Hazel's life of fending for herself started tragically early when she slipped away from her parents during a heated argument only to be caught in a trap by a poacher. She struggled and cried for help in the trap and her parents did come, but soon after gave up and left her. Alone and shocked, Hazel began to realize just how cruel the world could be. The poacher came soon afterwards and took her to a horrible place filled with cages and the cries of other animals in distress. It was here in an illegal animal breeding and selling racket that Hazel grew up. She suffered incredibly at the hands of the people running the place and underneath her thick amber coat her body is crisscrossed with scars. The worst of the abuse shows on her face. Fortunately her living hell all came to an end a year later when a rescue organization discovered the place. Hazel was taken to a wildlife rehab center and to her the place was the closest she'd ever been to wolf heaven. It was peaceful, filled with forest, and other wolves like her. It was here she met two other wolves, Eldritch, her future mate, and Sunny, her future best friend. When she was finally released from the rehab center she roamed until she found Eldritch and Sunny and they formed a very small pack together. Hazel had bigger dreams for her pack though, wanting to recreate the experience of the rehab center and rescue organization to help other wolves. She began adopting wolves in need into her pack as she expanded her territory. The cast out, the stray, the crippled, the starving and abandoned, all were and still are welcome into her pack, named Eldritchpack after her mate and steadfast companion.
