The name is the shortened "Cordyline Fruticosa", more widely known as the Cabbage Plant, the Good Luck Plant, or the Ti Plant. This plant is native to the warmer climates of the pacific islands, including Eastern Australia, Southeast Asia, and Hawa'ii, but is now a very common houseplant, despite its berries being mildly toxic to pets. This plant is also one of the most important plants relating to the indigenous socio-cultural practices in the Pacific and Southeast-Asian regions. It was used not for consumption, but was regarded as a spiritual importance in grave sites and healing areas. Red specifically with the symbolism for blood, war, and ties between the living and the dead.
It can grow up to 15 ft. (4.5 m) tall, with a cluster of leaves that grow at the top of its trunk, making them look almost like a miniature mix of a palm tree and bamboo. Cordylines can grow in numerous colors, but the usual colors are green, a pinkish-purple, and a vibrant red, which is why it was chosen as the name for this wolf.
