Biography
I uh... my father and I.. we'd been on our way to the exchange center when a girl around my age and his Lead Wolf ran into us; she offered a price of a lot of something shiny and gold. Whatever it was itâit was enough to satisfy Father; he told me I was to be a part of their pack now. Stormtrick, theâuh, my Lead Wolf's name, told me I was to stay and train with her until I was skilled enough tosafely travel to other packs. Once I've learned all I can, she said she'd let me choose wether I want to stay or not; how can I leave when she's already considered this much for me just because she saw I was... kinda scared about leaving my birthpack? I didn't really get the chance to talk to the other girlâStormtrick asked me if I'd rather take Blue's place or be a hunter; I think...I think I like the idea of helping others as a herbalist. Stormtrick was explaining everything we'd need to know on the way back; I hope she doesn't think I'm purposely ignoring her...
Ok, I understand Blue thinking Herbert's practices are a lil shady, but honestly? I've got this; I found a way of sweet talking him into telling me where to find the herbs we have to trade for the most, and he's... pretty patient for a guy who's had three different students up and quit on him.
I've had to cure a few ailments now; nothing major, just some open wounds here, some fleas there. Herbert says I picked a good time to learn since fall often brings so much sicknessâtch; I have a lot of pack membersâthey'll get sick regardless of the season, but I see what he's saying.
AAARRRRGGGGHHH I don't have TIME for this; my first heat will be upon me before I reach my second season. I literally just helped Dreamspot to nestâand there's barely time for her as a huntress; I can't afford to be pup bound to a nest right now!!
My pups cameâall perfectly healthy...this is exactly why a wolf needs a pack. Even as a Herbalist, if it weren't for Ripple and the other Pupsittersâdefinately the other pack mothers, I...I don't know what I would've done.
MY BOYYY he...he didn't..how could they just let him...my son is dead.
Ripple is still watching my daughter for me; I know she's probably old enough not to need it, but I...she needs it. Someone needs to watch her, and I just...I don't have the time in between having to forage and mix medicine; it's not fair to keep her cooped up here, afterall.
There's already so much to take care of already..if..if I'd been foraging less, stayed closer to the Pack more... would those newborns still be alive?
I've learned enough to no longer need Herbert's help diagnosing my pack! I'll still stay with him to bug him, (and to get first pick of whatever he finds) but now I don't have to actively ask for his help anymore. Stormtrick's over the moon with that development, since he'd make her pay whenever he'd have to diagnose someone lol. I get his reasoning, thought; if Lead Wolves know the'll have to pay to get their pack diagnosed, they'll be less likely to encourage that pack to take risks. Not sure if I agree with the method, but I get it.
A new male joined the pack; his coat is sort of like mineâwhite with spots, only his are golden. He seems decent enough, I guess. More importantly, I think I've discovered a system of sorts to keep up with when I need to mix up remedies! I'll forage for nearly a quarter moon, then three sunrises before the end of that quarter I'll make all that I can to just keep a general stock.
Eugh; why does practically every wolf leaving the densite for errands come back with less flesh and blood than when they left!? Literally!!! I've flown through like 20 salves for open woundsâmostly for hunting parties, but Stormtrick and the Scouts seem to find their fair share of sharp things to throw themselves into, too. The hunting parties are to be expected to an extent; STORMTRICK IF I HAVE TO TELL YOU ONE MORE TIME TO STAY OFF THE LEG YOU SCREWED UP, I'M PINNING YOUR TAIL UNDER A BOULDER TO MAKE SURE YOUR ASS STAYS THERE!!!
This litter seems restless; I think most of them'll want to find their own packs. Stormtrick's girl has grown into a pretty young wolf herself; Keentrick was the name she ended up receiving.
