Lore: Vesta grew up in the Spirit Dwellers pack, under the watchful eye of her father, the second in command. She saw many wolves coming and going on different adventures and always imagined following in the same pawprints. Vesta knew her father wouldn't like it, but she decided to ask anyway. She begged and begged for months before he finally said yes. Vesta packed her things quickly, knowing that he may change his mind if she took too long to set out. Vesta barely said goodbye as she rushed out of the den and into the forest.

SpoilerVesta found herself sluggishly stepping through the dense forest, the sound of rushing water made her lift her head. Vesta's steps became purposeful as she quickened her pace to the creek's edge, her aching paws relieved by the cool water as she craned her head forward to get a crisp drink. The sound of foliage rustling behind her made her lift her head, her gaze drifting behind her where a large black and white wolf stood. Vesta quickly turned to face the wolf, "Who are you?" She asked. The wolf blinked, "I am Mathan, a scout." He answered as he raised a brow, "And you? A stray, perhaps?" He asked, his tone indifferent. Vesta's ears twitched back in annoyance, "No." She began, "A Traveler, I hail from the Spirit Dwellers." When she saw his eyes widen slightly in realization she blinked, "You've heard of them?" She asked. Mathan blinked, "I have, our Tribe has been aligned with them for a while." He noted, "Very well, come with me." He said as he turned to slip into the forest. Vesta blinked, "To where?" She asked. Mathan glanced back at her, "To the Tribe of Blind River, obviously." He huffed as he padded off, not glancing back to see if she was following. When they arrived at the camp, Mathan gave her a quick guide on where everything was before he parted from her to inform Ulbhag of their arrival.

Vesta found shelter in the Mossy Sett, often taking care of pups and giving the mothers a break or finding a way to help the mothers. During her time, she befriended one of the permanent mothers of the Tribe, Iteag. One evening she laid beside Iteag, grooming the pups to give her a break. "You're leaving soon, aren't you?" Iteag asked. Vesta lifted her head and blinked, before reluctantly nodding, "Yeah… Yeah I am." She confirmed. Iteag exhaled through her nose, resting her chin on Vesta's back, "You'll meet me at dawn? I've got a gift for you." She murmured. Vesta paused mid-lick, before she finished grooming the pup, "Of course." Vesta promised, before she snuggled up against Iteag, the two pups laying between them.

At dawn, Vesta awoke early to meet Iteag by the creek that lay on the outskirts of the camp as she promised the night prior. Iteag's face brightened when she spotted Vesta, and she proudly held up what seemed to be a pouch in her jaws. Vesta stayed still as Iteag fastened it around her abdomen. Iteag smiled brightly, "It's called a Sporran, you can stash the little trinkets you find on your travels!" She said as the tip of her tail twitched happily, "Oh I wish I could go with you." She sighed, "But my duty binds me to my tribe." She added quickly. Vesta admired the sporran with intrigued eyes, "It's beautiful, it'll come in handy." She murmured before she gave Iteag a grateful smile before she pressed her muzzle into Iteag's fur, "I wish you could come with me," She agreed with a hint of longing, "I will not forget you." She promised. Vesta then reluctantly parted from Iteag and began her trek through the forest, casting a glance over her shoulder at Iteag once more before she disappeared into the woodland.
