Her birth pack needed space, her mother, confident in her survival, insisted she go. Sent her on the breeze with a sprig of herb tucked into her Pewter coat. She met King Briavels in the woodlands, saw him before he saw her. She saw a large Chert male and he saw a reflection of his sister as a pup.
"Come with me."
So she did. Destined to be herbalist for the Dene Pack, Gale was home.

05.Nov - Gale came of age. The pack females brought her her favourite feathers and a grouse in celebration and the pack males all stayed at a respectful distance. She requested a mating with Trelleck, but he and King Briavels refused this on the grounds that if she were to fall pregnant the pack would have three litters of pups over winter. He suggested instead that she spend her first portion of adulthood learning to be an excellent Herbalist and perhaps she could raise a litter in spring, when the weather were kindest.
Later in the day, while out scavenging for plants alongside Dilke, the two females met a doggish wolf by the name of Lorkhan. He foraged with them for a while before Dilke returned home to make salves, trusting the young male alone with Gale. Upon her return in the evening, King Briavels noticed how well groomed she was and the faint scent of wet dog. He made a note to speak to Trelleck about missed opportunities and pack resilience.
