Because of his parentage, Johnson had been placed as one of the lowest ranked members of the pack. Punishment for his mother's attempt to flee the HighClaws and suspicions about her relationship with the leader of another pack. While many were unsure of the relationship, their leader proclaimed that Sybil attempted to seduce him and believed it would be best if she were returned to the HighClaw pack.
Either through mercy or cruelty, Sybil and her pup had been marked to be the lowest members of the pack. Often times having to sneak away in order to find something to feed themselves or break away from the harsher treatments of the pack.
