Koharu

Koharu was born into a prestigious group of all female wolves in the north that called themselves the Sunrise Guild. She never knew her father and had a toxic and controlling mother who demanded perfection. She tried her best to get her mother's attention and love, but she could never seem to be the wolf her mother wanted. The group would punish her harshly for her mistakes and rewarded her very little for her accomplishments. One day, Koharu made a big mistake that injured the group's leader; she accidentally let a pack of wild dogs into her leader's den. The leader was furious and leaped upon Koharu in a fit of snarling fury. Koharu was terrified and ran from their camp as fast as her legs could carry her. As the leader calmed down she called after Koharu, who was still hurling away through the underbrush, and told her she was hereby banished from the guild, and if she ever saw her face again, she would see to it that Koharu never got up again.

As Koharu ran, petrified and traumatized, she began to realize the pain and suffering she had endured for her mother's supposed "love" and the "pride of the Sunset guild". She longer she ran, the more resentment and fury she built up against her old home. She promised herself she would never be used like that again. Just before she had reached the border of her old territory, she killed a snake and spat out its scaly head into the dirt. Her mother had never liked snakes, so she did this as the ultimate form of disrespect towards everything she came from, hoping the Sunset Guild would find it later after she had already left and not be able to do a thing about it. She smirked and muttered her final curses towards her mother and guild, before turning and sauntering past the boarder, knowing that now she could truly be free.

She traveled south towards a Clan of mysterious wolves that was rumored to live in the deciduous forest. Once she had discovered their existence and location, she killed a beaver and brought it to their lead wolf, Ash, as an offering and proof of her skills. Ash excepted the gift and allowed Koharu to live in the Clan of Many Stars as a huntress. Koharu was paired with Widow, another she wolf with a similar background, and they became fast friends in their love for hunting and freedom. Koharu never regretted her decision to join her new clan, and found the true meaning of love in her new pack-mates.
