In Mythology, Melinoe was a godess of the moon, leading the way from the underworld, nightmares, and ghosts. This Melinoe leads her band of undead souls through the forests at night, hunting, scouting, and terrorizing the living.
Her pack is known as Ourea Pneuma, the Mountain Ghosts.
