Eist was Calanthe's first King, and possibly only true lover. He had been known for his wisdom and for being a loving and caring Father to Calanthe's pups. The King had gotten in a tussle nearby the border when protecting one of Cintra's pups who had snuck out of the cave from a lone wolf trying to put an end to its young life. He succeeded in chasing the lone wolf off, but his wounds were nothing to scoff at. Even Zol, one of the best healers in the land could not mend his wounds.

Despite stopping the bleeding, his wounds had become infected. A fever took over him, and on 12/25/20 the male passed away. Cintra as a whole was sent into grieving, Calanthe was especially hit hard but her mate's death. He was buried in the Deciduous Forest in an area where the sound of flowing water from a river could be heard in the distance.
