Bronze was taken in as the Alpha's own pup as Riverpaw saw great potential in him. As predicted, Bronze took to his lessons exceptionally well, outperforming the other pups quite consistently. Riverpaw entrusted Bronze's general physical training to Camper, while Castor supplemented that and gave Bronze specialized training for the stalker role. During his training he became exceptionally close with his mentors, the three often seen being seen as a unit when they have down-time lounging around the Moonlight Pond. Bronze took easily to his place in the freshly re-formed Supernova hunting squad, though he would find himself frustrated with the distance between them or feeling depressed when back-to-back hunting expeditions keep their time together short.

On a starry summer night when Bronze was just shy of 2 years, he left the den site on a contemplative walk, hoping to clear his muddled mind, and finding the cool cover of night to be one of his best chances to slip away from his two mentors. It's not often that he wishes for space from them, but an unfamiliar restlessness has made the heat of the summer unbearable, and he longed for some time to himself in the hope that a bit of distance would relieve the weight on his shoulders. Lost in thought, the young male trips down a large, concealed burrow which opens up to a sizeable cavern. This odd oasis is dotted with greenery despite being underground, and in the center lies a shimmering puddle. Getting the sense this was the answer to his problems, Bronze sips the colourful ichor and lies down, suddenly exhausted. Their nap is long, and the dream they had was life-changing, to say the least.
