Saunee

For nearly a month, Saunee hid inside an abandoned rabbit warren on Elk territory. When Dioute was informed by his Wapiti friends, he made sure to come and coax the pup out. Each day, himself with Kdago the apprentice in tow, to drop food into the warren and speak encouragingly. They even brought a brave few pups that were willing to go down into the hole and spend a night with Saunee. The following morning, the anxious pup wandered out behind Allegewi and Nanoak, ready to go home to Wapiti Run. He stayed under the gentle care of Siske and Alax before he began to come out of his shell little by little.

As he's grown older, his anxiety has not quite left him. Though he is part of a prominent moment in the Pack's history as their future leaders grow up, Saunee feels as though he has nothing to contribute. Naturally, Nanoak noticed his sullen attitude and sought him out, helping him realize his assets. He found that he felt less useless around her and has started to seek out her company more and more.

He's decided to become a pupsitter when the time comes, under Nanoak's suggestion that it may help him refocus his nervous energy. He couldn't agree more.
