Biography
Throughout many generations, the HighClaws ruled over the mountain range with peace and honor until a great tragedy had disrupted their tranquil lives. And this was thanks to the betrayal from one of their own.
A young she-wolf, one of many offspring to the pack leaders, aided in the escape of a captive male and returned home in hopes that by taking a mate that she could control, it would bolster her ranks and chance in inheriting the pack. Despite the initial reluctance of allowing an outsider within their ranks, the new male worked hard to gain trust and support from the others. While all appeared well and good, a dark plot had been brewing in the shadows as Caspian and Saorise's ambitions began to grow, along with support from selected members, and readied their strengths until the right moment.
It had been a great shock when the pack leaders, still strong and healthy regardless of their old age, and few of their chosen heirs had face strange accidents without warning. Yet when Saorise moved quickly to claim the role of pack leader soon after one of her elder siblings passed, stating that it was her rite and the will of her seniors, everything began to appear suspicious. Even more outrage soared when she proclaimed that Caspian would be her mate and his ideologies of how a perfect pack should be began to cause issues. Soon enough, the truth had come out that it was Caspian and Saorise responsible for the deaths of their pack-mates, the wolves of the HighClaw had split between loyalties before engaging in a civil war.
Many lives were lost, whether they be young or old, and factions had taken over smaller packs and forced them to join into larger armies in order to settle rulership of the mountains. Even more strategy had struck as a great sickness spread throughout the region which forced many wolves to disperse and flee, either creating their own packs or joining others who would take pity and have room to accept them.
In the aftermath, many were left behind, either too weak or simply abandoned, and taken prisoner by the remaining wolves of the mountains in order to recreate the HighClaws, now being led by leaders Caspian and Saorise. Their allies had been rewarded as higher members of the pack while others were to serve or be punished. If given the chance, lone wolves would be forcefully recruited and ensure to fall in line. Even with their few numbers, Caspian's plans vowed to bring forth the former glory of the HighClaws.
