Biography
The time Midnight lost his pack and mate to a mudslide, his life changed completely. Before the deaths, he and his mate were planning for pups while he was a mentor teaching pups about many things. Pups and adolescents would come running up to him asking him to do various things with them, playing in the river, catch fish with them, and many more things. Midnight was well respected and loved by all.
Midnight was out one day when he saw the mudslide coming so he started running but it was too late, you could hear howls and cries for help but Midnight could do nothing but watch. He saw his mate hanging on for dear life with a few pups hanging onto him, he was about to rush over even if it meant him getting caught in the slide but he made eye contact with him. His mate smiled and shook his head before letting go. That was the last time he saw his mate and the rest of his pack. He could not recover any of the bodies but he made all the respective graves for them.
After that, he turned bitter towards every wolf but less towards pups and adolescents that he came across while constantly traveling to no place in particular. Until one day he ran into the Opossum Pack. There was a female with a few pups moving with her but distracting her from her work so he walked up to her, at first the female growled at him and saw him as a threat before he soothed the pups. The female turned out to be the alpha's mate, Blue Eyes.
Ever since then, he has been the pupsitter for them. Many of the pack wolves saw him as a bitter male but in truth he was just hurting until he saw the other male by the name of Romantic. He reminded him so much of his mate, reserved but charming. Whenever he wasn't actively pupsitting the alpha's pups, or with his best friend Holly, he was found with Romantic with a smile on his face. He never smiled at anyone else but him which is why many pack members knew of his love for the male. No one ever said anything as it was not unheard of for two males to be mates.
Holly was quite an old wolf, but she knew Midnight's heart and could see right through him. She knew from the time she saw him and Romantic together that he had fallen in love with him, she was also the only wolf in the pack to know the deaths of his old pack. She had promised him to not tell a soul to anyone but the Moon Wolf.
March 8th
Midnight had been running around with the alpha's pups before he was finished for the day. As he was making his way to Romantic's place, outside were a bunch of wolves. This was quite a scene as it looked like every wolf of the pack was there, he even saw Azure but he frowned once he saw a deep look of sadness in his eyes. He walked up to the pup and asked softly,
"What's happened?" Azure just looked up at him then gestured to the cave. He took slow steps going up and that's when he saw Holly, laying there with her eyes closed. There was no kind of movement going on, no breaths being taken. He had lost his best friend.
Holly received a proper burial the same day, everyone appeared and mourned for the lost of the wolf though some did not even know Holly that well but felt the emptiness that was there since the death. Midnight did not cry in front of everywolf but as they started to walk away and all there was left was Romantic and Azure, he wept over the lost. Neither of them ever saw him cry and tried their best to comfort him. It was going to be a long road for him to cope with this death.
