Cerulea

"If I find it, it's mine!"

An agile, strong, and somewhat selfish scout, no one can doubt Cerulea's natural aptitude for her role. She's bold and feisty, always ready to jump head-into unfamiliar territory, and loves to gather trinkets to keep for herself. Though she is admired by many in her pack for her skills, she has only a few friends due to her rather harsh personality.

It's likely that Cerulea will be out scouting if you go to look for her, though occasionally the sepia-colored she-wolf is chatting (sometimes boasting) to her best friend Cayce, or organizing all the trinkets she has collected for herself.

BIOGRAPHY

Cerulea had been with the Kohana Pack since she was a pup. Though she didn't stay long in the mountains, she enjoyed her simple life there. She became fast friends with Cayce, an almost-adolescent pup, and the two have been good friends since. As she grew older, and Cayce was around less often as he trained with Kobayashi, she began to entertain herself by exploring. Often when Cayce returned, the two would share stories of their explorations, and she always learned something new from the scout-in-training. Kobayashi would eventually pass, and the title of scout was bestowed upon Cayce. Still, the two always made time for one another.

When they moved to the rainforest, Cerulea began to shine. She showed her aptitude for the role, and Takara had to admit he was impressed. She was given the role of scout and began working alongside her best friend. The two finished scouting the rest of the rainforest together.

As time passed, Cerulea found an odd establishment. Animals were inside cages as humans watched them. The animals seemed content- some even seemed happy- with their human overseers. This piqued the brown wolf's curiosity (and she wanted to see what items she could steal) so she stealthfully entered later that night.

Here, she saw a small pack of wolves inside a large run. There were three males and two females, but one in particular caught her eye. He had sleek, black fur and white markings that contrasted it. She called from the other side of the fencing, and he warily approached. He introduced himself as Braxton.

Cerulea and Braxton were fascinated by one another, and began to talk. He said he was born and raised in the zoo, and he was bewildered by seeing a wild animal, so he kept asking her questions. "What is it like out there?" "Are there other packs?" She also had similar questions for the domesticated wolf. "What are you doing here?" "Why don't you just leave?"

Cerulea explained that she was a scout, and he explained that he wanted to leave, yet didn't know how. She decided to help him, and began digging over the course of a few nights. The humans never noticed, and so she finally set him free. The two had become good friends over that time, and eventually even more, where they became mates. They spent the first few days heading back to the Kohana Pack's territory.

However, the humans had noticed Braxton's escape and eventually caught up to the pair. Though Cerulea was easily able to outrun the humans, Braxton could not, and they tranquilized him. Cerulea's heart was broken, and she vowed to catch up to him the next day. But her efforts were futile, as when she had returned to check on him, he was boarded onto a boat and sent off to some faraway land, likely to some other zoo.

There was a heavy weight on her heart, but she felt herself get pulled under as she realized she was pregnant. She returned to the pack with a heavy heart, and explained everything. She was given time to relax, and though Cayce had to work twice as hard now, he often checked in on his best friend.

As time passed, Cerulea eventually gave birth. Two small pups, a male and a female, nestled closer to their mother. She loved them, but realized how unprepared she was for a litter of pups, even one as small as two pups. Coyote, though she wasn't the most fond of the selfish scout, felt pity on the new mother and offered her help as she herself had raised two daughters. Cerulea accepted this with gratitude, and felt a new respect for the coywolf.

Cerulea has continued to scout and become a better scout, and her pups Saskia and Colton eagerly try to follow in her footsteps. She still is very close friends with Cayce, and has a new respect for Coyote, though she's only willing to share with her own children... if she has to share at all!
