Vix's origin tribe found her too unnerving and therefor didn't trust her capabilities. Their loss! Turns out Vix's senses are closer than normal with the spirit realm, allowing her to see and feel energies and how to best treat and heal the ill. Vix is more than happy to explore her visions and test her mixtures all willy nilly as a Marauder, she never leaves the territory and resides on the outskirts of the tribe where she is left mostly undisturbed to dig around in corpses and smear herself with old blood.
