Amarok

You cling to your pathetic life. And for what reason? The closest to you betray you. And those you claim to protect don't even know your name.

His first memory is of snow, warm fur of his mother, the howl of icy wind and long forgotten songs of the people who managed to survive in the cold of glaciers and ever frozen oceans.

Next come the memories of wrestling with his siblings, hunting for seal pups, playing with the moose antlers their mother brought for them and her words to never get used to each others company, for one day they will be alone.

Then they became older, slowly drifting apart, staying away from the nest for longer and longer, until none but him and his mother were left. And then, he was alone. So he went off from the nest, to hunt and live his lone wolf life, just like all his ancestors before him. But the glacier was not easy for a wolf whose fur didn't provide much camouflage in the sea of white. So he ventured further away and away from the land of his birth. Into the forests and mountains he went, finding on his way wolves like him, ones who had blood of long forgotten human gods and beasts, demons that once were worshiped.

And so, with the wolves following his steps, he funded a pack, something that his ancestors would've never done. His name is Amarok, a gigantic wolf said to stalk and devour any person foolish enough to hunt alone at night. His pack is named Mythos, to show that even if humans have forgotten their myths - the wolves remember.

The leader is now long gone, and new wolf is providing for the pack. May the Moon Goddess protect them.
