When Ruby's sister Selena was born, Ruby felt like she was being replaced as Cloud's favourite child. Cloud loved Ruby dearly and favoured them both equally, but poor Ruby didn't realise that until she matured fully and was able to look at the situation differently. When Ruby and Selena were pups, Ruby would bully her out of spite, but after they grew up, they became very close. When Selena took over the pack, Ruby became one of the lead hunters, and even offered council to her sister on multiple occasions.
