Gold in the Rock

The founder and first leader of the Earth's Bones. An optimistic young she-wolf, she and her first mate Winter Fire carved out a home for their new pack in the deciduous woodland. She recruited Oak Leaf, Bear's Claw, Summer Grass, Thorn, and Hidden Embers into her ranks, followed by Skunk Blossom and her son Petrichor, and many others who came after. 

After she and Winter Fire ended their bond, she conceived with Kubo. Their daughter, Stone Under Ice, remained in the Earth's Bones, while their two other pups set out on their own when grown. 

A later daughter, the arrogant Cliff Spire, came into conflict with Gold In The Rock. She eventually recruited a number of followers and split away from the pack; what became of them has never been known. 

Some time after the divide, Gold In The Rock led the pack to a new home in the mountains. The hunting proved plentiful, and they remained there happily for the rest of her life. 

While not always the wisest wolf, she was smart, swift, and quick on her feet, which always served her well in a fight.

She died in springtime, on the night of a full moon. After she went to her final rest, Clear Spring, her granddaughter through Stone Under Ice, succeeded her as the leader of the Earths' Bones.
