Muzan

As he neared the end of his life, he chose who would succeed him. Suisei, Shinobu's granddaughter.

"My own line will live through Rika, Hikari, and their many offspring. I do not boast the greatest appearance, so Shinobu's line will take place over mine. Tenzin's blood will be running through our next leader- the clan is sure to prosper."

- Muzan, at 6 years,  11  1/2 months old, on March 13th, 2021.

And so his life came to a close, 6 months later.

|:| MUZAN'S REGIME - HAJIMARI ERA |:| - October 27th 2020 - April 7th 2021

YOKUYA PERIOD

The pack had started small, due to the previous era's events. Although it didn't take long to find wolves  out in the mountains to grow the pack. With a stroke of luck, he found many wolves who lived up to his expectations. Byoki, the first herbalist. Akechi, Ryoshi, Komugi, Apuri, all skilled hunters of the "Crows" hunting party. Surui, Shinobu, Tomioka, Shinku. The first hunting party that Muzan had constructed, the "Undergrowths". Although they have since been replaced, their legacy still lives on in the current wolves. And then there is Kangaeru. She had been an outsider wolf blessed by Tsuki. She was greatly treasured within the pack. Two outsider wolves, Shirou and Senshi. They both came from another pack, deemed as failures. But Muzan saw potential in them, and took them to the pack to raise them. Muzan's first pups, Rika and Riko were born as well. Riko, however, did not make it to adulthood. This Period began when Shirou became a year old, and ended when Akechi died.

SHINAMI PERIOD

This period began when Akechi died. It was the first major death of the era. Since Akechi had no kin, he had another wolf take on the name for him. Akechi II took the name.

Not much happened here. The pack grew, and wolves were born. The Crows hunting party slowly deteriorated until there was not much left. Just Akechi II sitting where Akechi used to. This period ended when Shinku died.

KUFUKU PERIOD

This period was a strenuous one. The Akuma's hunters have a bad tendency to die in winter, and that's exactly what happened. Shinku was the first to die in the Undergrowths. They were quite fond of her, aswell. So when she was replaced by her son, Shigemi, they couldn't find much. They could barely manage to catch grouse, the "beginner's food". So a famine struck, and everyone was barely fed. During this time, they had to scavenge and get what they could from allied packs. Thankfully, no one died because of it. Unfortunately, Kangaeru died of old age, although not as destructive as Shinku's death. Other wolves who died in this period were Mirio, and Surui. By the coming spring,  the famine had been staved off.

MANZOKU PERIOD

This spring, they were doing exceptionally well. Food wasn't a problem, and there were lots of pups being born. Nothing really happened here. The only thing that did happen, is that Tomioka died. Shinobu also had her last litter of pups, and decided Sakarui would take her place in the hunting party.  This period began when spring came, and ended when Shinobu died.

MOSHITEIRU PERIOD

This period is quite brief. It began when Shinobu died, which was also in winter. That wasn't quite long from when Muzan died, actually. No one other than Shinobu died here. And so on April 7th, 2021, Muzan died. The wolf chosen to lead after him was Suisei, a wolf born of Kokuyo and Shirou. She carried Shinobu's blood in her.

When Muzan was drawing his last breaths, she said to him,

"I will live up to your expectations as the next pack leader. I swear on Tsuki herself that I will." She paused. "Oyasumi."

And so Muzan's tale came to an end.
