Moonpool

Moonpool's life had been one of heartbreak. She was mates to the Alpha, Alderflame, and brought into the world two daughters who were her pride and joy. Unfortunately, one of her pups passed away despite her attentive care. Moonpool was distraught over the loss of her pup that it nearly made her lose her other daughter. Fortunately, Leaffall grew up into a fine huntress with the help of another pupsitter, but alas, her mother was never the same. Moonpool fell into a depression, one she didn't seem to escape. She became attentive to any pup that came into her care so that they wouldn't meet the same fate as her lost daughter.

Season's passed, and her depression began to lift. The Alpha had moved on to a new mate, but now a new wolf was catching her eye. Icedapple was a harsh wolf to those in his hunting party but was always sure to bring her his latest catch. They soon fell in love and were expecting puppies.

Fate was cruel to Moonpool, however, shortly after his pups were born, Icedapple was tragically killed in a hunting accident. She fell back into her depression, wailing to the ancestors for an answer for her punishment.

Oakblaze, one of Icedapple's friends, took up the role of father figure for Moonpool's pups. She wasn't keen on this wolf, but having known him for most of her life, she allowed it. Love blossomed between them as they figured out this family of theirs. 

Once the pups she had grew up and left to found their own packs, besides one, Icewing, who decided to stay close to her mother, they decided to have one last litter of pups. To her surprise, she only gave birth to one pup, Shatterice.

Moonpool lived long enough to wean her pup before she passed away. Oakblaze was with her until the end, both dying tragically together.
