Biography
Birth Certificate
Birth Date: Sep 28 (Fall)
Mother: Goldensong
Father: Silk Sonic (Condemned Coalition Pack)
Birth Stats: 159 STR 137 SPD 153 AGI 160 WIS 176 SMR = 785
Pupsitter: Streampelt
Silverfoot was a charming little boy who had a knack for making other pups feel better. If crying or angry barks were heard in the Nursery, Silver would be there in an instant, soothing hurt feelings with a few whispered words. His pupsitter Streampelt was delighted with his care for others and thought that maybe he would grow up to be a pupsitter like her. But his mom Goldensong wasn't so sure. In addition to being exceptionally kind, Silver was also very smart, one of the smartest in the Nursery. That would make him a good scout or stalker for a hunting team. But he had also caught the attention of Herbalist Duskflame and she was keeping an eye on him as well. It seemed that the pupsitters would have their work cut out making a recommendation for Silver's future role in the pack.
At the Academy, Silver studied smarts and wisdom to build on his strengths. He consistently impressed his teachers with his willingness and quickness to learn. The task of figuring out what role he was best suited for only got more difficult as Silver seemed to show aptitude for everything. It wasn't until his final lesson that things became clearer. During a hiding class, Silver's brother Corntail was trying to hide in the branches of a fallen tree when he slipped on some moss and fell, getting a deep scratch on the way down. Even before their teacher could react, Silver sprang into action. He put pressure on the bleeding scratch with a wad of leaves and would not let go until Dusk arrived. When news of the incident spread through the pack, it was a foregone conclusion that Silver would be the pack's next herbalist.
During his apprenticeship, Silver took to his training and enjoyed it more than most youngsters. In fact, he was often heard pestering Dusk to teach him more and more. If she told him to take a break, he would resort to reading her medical records in the library and that was the first place she would look for him when she was ready to resume training. It seemed that he just couldn't get enough, even when it came to brewing. Dusk had to warn him several times not to taste too often or he'd be no good to anyone. His talent for consoling and keeping his packmates calm came in very handy and there was rarely a yelp of pain heard when he was on a case. Dusk was sure he would be a great herbalist soon. His natural talent and his voracious appetite for training would see to it.
On his first birthday, Silver was finally allowed to consume his own brew as much as he wanted. His packmates praised his first solo batch and drank a toast to his success later in the night, which he had trouble remembering the next day.
Now as an adult, Silver still loves to make others feel better. And now he knows many more ways to do that than just gentle words. His hunger for learning is still alive too, and having absorbed everything Dusk had to teach him, he finds things to learn on his own. He often threatens to test a new medicine or technique on the next packmate to walk into the Clinic. Of course, he would never do anything to harm anyone. His true strength lies in helping his patients stay calm and tell him what's wrong. He likes to say that an accurate history is the key to an accurate diagnosis. He has other sayings that only come out after a fermented barley.
