A large, snarky wolf who is a surprisingly talented herbalist. He works solitarily but is open to Herbert. Can and will go into unknown/dangerous territories while foraging without any fear, he is confident in his abilities to fend for himself. Tends to be nonverbal because of his scratched vocal cords and primarily communicates through body language. He's in a lot of grief, between being the herbalist who had to suffer tending to those he held dear as they all died one by one, and his younger brother Sootpelt leaving the pack. He is respected and endeared to the pack, but he does not have many actual friends.

Vague Backstory:
He was born into a very strict and possessive pack when he was a pup and was chased away from his pack eventually too for accidently causing the disappearance of the leader's prized heir. He was taken in by mother bear when a few weeks later when he had almost starved and bled to death, and he was nursed back to health. He refused to talk to anyone besides the bear, and often stayed underneath her paws, if not hide in the den's dense foliage. One day, he was adopted by a quiet, generous black wolf named Shadowhide who was his father and a charming and daredevilish wolf named Rubysnow who was his mother. He was very untrustful, aggressive and scared of the pack and his new parents because of his trauma, but found solstice whenever he visited the herbalist's den. He grew to trust Hubert, and eventually the packs herbalist Slightsnow and a pup who visited there frequently names Ashsnow. It was there he decided that he wanted to be a herbalist and work alone with the plants instead of the frightful teamwork of the pack when hunting for essential food.

He was apart of a vicious and unkind pack as a pup, he was chased away for causing one of the leader's pups to disappear.
