Frostbite

Frostbite is a wolf who travelled far to both the Sun & Moon Haven territories, and resides on the vast Glacier Edge. She came to the packs at a time where the war between them had almost decimated their ranks, and her arrival was heralded as a momentous occasion.

The Moon Haven wolves saw her as a wolf truly suited to the harsh life of the Glacier. Her pale coat blended with the landscape in a way no other North Haven wolf had before, and though she lived a solitary life, she was a prolific hunter and thrived in the harsh landscape.

The Sun Haven wolves saw her as a sign, that a wolf not of North Haven lineage could have all the qualities and nobility of one born to those lines. She was followed by a pair of magpies, and had a magnolia flower in her fur - the first a sign of leadership and a mark of office for Sun Haven leaders, the second a symbol of their first lead.

The two packs were more alike than they thought. The Moon Haven leader had abdicated, sick of fighting, and the Sun Haven lead had been exiled. The two leads brothers, full cousins and family, both stepped up to become the new leaders. At that time, Frostbite sought an audience with both of them and convinced them that their fight was unsustainable. Her influence wrought a change in the two packs that had not been seen since they split during their isolation in the North.

The Moon Haven became less strict with their members, and it was no longer common for wolves to be worked to the extreme. They would have more time to themselves, and relations flourished within and outside of the once-isolated pack.

The Sun Haven's sense of superiority was flattened over a single generation. Wolves were no longer barred from the pack if they did not have North Haven ancestry, but were encouraged to claim a guardian from the pack's history to help guide them and inspire them.

As for Frostbite, well, she's still living around the Glacier. No one's quite sure what brought her there. There was plenty of speculation, from her being guided by the spirit of past North Haven wolves, to being a spirit of the Glacier herself. She doesn't think she's anything special. She just happened to be the right wolf in the right place at the right time.
