The Keen Wolf

Tallpoppy recalled being keen since she was young. Now getting up in age, she just wanted to relax more than anything. She personally hated being so... lazy. Sure, she still wanted to go out frequently hunting, but this last half-moon, she'd felt herself getting more and more tired after just one hunt. Then it dawned on her. She was expecting pups. Again.

The last she had been expecting pups, she was kept until she had them and then sold- for a profit. She got that they didn't have enough room for her and her pups, and could only house so many wolves. At least Moonstar would be different, right? So she decided to question him.

"Of course your pups can stay as long as possible, and we won't chase you. You're a great chaser." Tallpoppy couldn't help but sigh in relief. "Browndapple does a great job with this. He can charm the females so easily. Now we have four out of five in your party out. I guess we'll have to use Russetdown's party when she feels better." But Tallpoppy was floating too high in her spirits to be put down by not hunting for a while. Even Creamspot would feel better about the half-moon relaxation period. Tallpoppy and her pups would stay together. At least for a while.
