Maxwell had been living in the grasslands by himself since he was an adolescent. He had run away from his own pack and had spent the following months growing up learning about different herbs from a bear in the woods. When Athenadora and Darzi ended up in the grasslands, he eagerly agreed to join them in their quest to build a new pack. He became the pack's herbalist, utilising all of his knowledge to create salves and cures for the various injuries the others came back with.
Maxwell has been the pack's herbalist since the day the pack was formed. He has always had an interest in various herbs and remedies, creating salves and cures for all the pack members ailments. He tries to remain positive no matter what and is very proud that no pups have died from illness on his watch.
He first met Jackson when Athenodora bought him back to the pack's home territory as a new pack member and hunter. It didn't take long for a romance to blossom between the two males, he would lovingly nursing any and all injuries Jackson acquired while out hunting with the rest of his hunting team. Jackson would always make sure Maxwell ate, ensuring that even in a food shortage his partner would still be able to eat.
