Snowfall was grateful she had a high status in the pack...

Although she wasn't like her sister.

Eye of The Storm.

Snowfall didn't resent her sister, but nor did she love her.

Both of them were from the same litter of pups, although their brother was no longer among them.

Everything was about Eye, as Snowfall sometimes thought of her as. 

"I want to be higher," She would sometimes sob to herself, "I'm a complete failure compared to Storm. I'm not perfection like her, just a mirror image of a pack-mate."

Snowfall wasn't even a carrier like she'd wanted. 

Is it because of my white fur? Then what about father? He has white fur too!

Tortured with pain, Snowfall thought she would be stuck in the shadows forever.

Snowfall yipped with excitement, wagging her fluffy grey tail.

It was her first Great Howl! Her first Great Howl! 

All the wolves gathered into the center of camp, and Snowfall tumbled into her sister, Eye of The Storm.

Storm was her best friend! Even though she was Melanistic and not her.

I like my fur how it is! Even though I'm almost the mirror image of that big wolf named Badger. But Badger is pretty!

One howl rose at a time, until all of them were twined together, honoring Moon-dog and Great Wolf.

Lilachoof paused her own howling to look gently at Snowfall and Eye of The Storm, and Snowfall felt her tail wagging. 

Lilachoof raised her head again to re-join the howling, and this time Snowfall joined in with her hesitant sister.
