Cannibalism has been an accepted practice since the founding of Ghul Pack by Alpha Yerv, when he gathered wolves who shared dreams of the Ancestral Species. No one complains about the meat chunks. Until Ives was born no one preferred them either. Some blame his oddness on his half-Faelcu father. Ives claims to feel stronger after eating from the bodies of enemies killed in pack territory. He kept the tail of the first wolf he killed, in order to "remind everyone that you are who you eat." For the sake of the pack's sanity Alpha Sulakhan arranged his marriage to rot-obsessed Odo so he could have someone weird enough to keep him busy.
