Fennelpurr - Warrior - He/They - Location: Camp Center

The second they stepped outside, he hears Minkpelt make her statement about the Sunpaw situation but before Fennelpurr could react...oh! It was Poppyeyes! All his worries suddenly just vanished. It's as if their brother had this magic ability to calm them down no matter what was running through their mind.

"Why- good morning to you too Poppyeyes." He softly smiled back as they let their brother energetically greet him with face rubs, it was exactly how their late mother gave affection. Felt bittersweet to recognize the resemblance.

Fennelpurr winced at the thought of the dangerous scenarios being listed by his brother. Admittedly, they weren't much of a great fighter compared to other warriors. They've adapted to letting the stronger cats lead attacks as they focused on mediating any conflict that were to arise, whilst keeping the group on track of the goals assigned by Cherrystar and/or Minkpelt. Unforgettably, his hearing disability makes it hard for them to accurately target opponents. He has gotten better on working around it over the moons, but recently they have preferred letting someone else take control rather than risk failure and embarrassment.

"Oh wow sounds very lovely!" They tilted their head and laughed sarcastically thinking that Poppyeyes should know better by now. "I'll come, but let's make sure we get some food first, okay? I don't think you'd want to explain to the elders that you were too busy fighting random cats to get them breakfast." He said pawing the enthusiastic tom's face.

Berrypaw - Apprentice - She/Her - Location: Camp Center

The young apprentice swiftly brought herself over to the camp center where most cats were chattering and waiting around. Feeling a bit awkward just standing there, she started looking around for her sister until Minkpelt entered the scene and confirmed that all was in order. She took a sigh of relief. It was good to know that a responsible cat, let alone the deputy, was mentoring Sunpaw. Berrypaw made a mental note for later to thank Starclan that she was under the right guidance.

Awaiting further instruction, she sat down with perfect posture away from the chatty cats, closer to Minkpelt. She looked up at the much larger she-cat, admiring her muscles and scars, her overall powerful aura. Berrypaw often visualized what it would be for her to finally be a warrior, she always imagined herself looking a lot like Minkpelt.

Interrupted by the banter of Slientflight and Brairstorm, she side-eyes them. "How could such adults be so grown yet so childish?"

Littlepaw - MCA - Tom - Location: Kitchen/Outside

The impatient apprentice's blue eyes lit up when his mentor gave into his whining. "Yeah!!" The chestnut tabby wiggled his haunches out of excitement, barely able to focus on her explanation of chamomile. White petals, green center...? No, no- yellow! Yellow center! But didn't almost every single wildflower look like that...?

Eh, what did it matter? That was what learning was for! So long as he didn't give someone something poisonous by accident...

The medicine cat seemed to easily move through the kitchen. Despite his unfortunate fall moments before, Littlepaw was eager to try again- anything to get out of that old, stuffy twoleg den!! Besides, Berrypaw and Sunpaw already got a head start with everything (being two moons older, that was only natural)- he had to catch up! He couldn't let them have all the fun! The apprentice bit his lip as he judged the leap once more, springing up towards the counter and this time sinking his claws into the slippery countertops. He briefly flailed about, struggling to get a grip and not fall again. However, he eventually got it.

Dragging himself onto the counters, the young tom eagerly trotted after his mentor as he stepped into the window. He drew in a deep breath, admiring the outdoor scenery he so wished he could enjoy more often. Plus, it'd be easier to enjoy if it wasn't such a struggle to get onto the counters to begin with...bouncing on his paws with excitement, he hopped off the windowsill and landed on the grassy ground. He wiggled his toes, enjoying the sensation of grass. "I wish we could just stay out here all day long! I like the air- it's so refreshing and clear. And the sun's really nice!"

Rosefrost - Queen - Molly - Location: 2nd Floor

As the tortoiseshell point stiffly leaned back into her nest, she stifled a small sigh. Being stuck in the nursery made her feel useless, and at the same time, only worsened her sensation of mournfulness. Yet, that remaining maternal instinct that tingled in her belly...it groaned at the idea of leaving. She had so much hope and excitement tied to the tiny attic nursery just a few days prior...the idea of leaving almost brought her pain. Rosefrost knew it'd be good for her to get out. She wasn't ready to move back into the warrior's den, of course- she had too much healing to do. Emotionally, and physically.

She stared at the squirrel her brother had left behind with a small frown. It felt like a sin to waste it, and yet...Rosefrost knew better than to ignore what her body was trying to communicate with her. She'd had those little belly aches before as a kitten and apprentice, as they all did when they caught the occasional sickness. Eating when feeling sick always had repercussions. If she attempted to eat that squirrel now, she'd surely regret it.

The queen slowly closed her deep blue eyes, listening to the distant sound of birdcall as the outdoor avians began to stir. How she missed their song. Her patience was one of her greatest strengths when it came to hunting, and so she always relished taking her time while in the forest. Listening to every sound, breathing in every scent...she missed the forest. Did it miss her?

What she'd give to feel the sun on her fur again...

Poppyeyes- Warrior- He/Him- Camp Centre

Poppyeyes let out a loud purr in response to his siblings greeting. Fennelpurr was the only biological family Poppyeyes had left, and as a result the two were rather close. Though, even if their parents were still around it wouldn't change anything. The siblings always got along well and were a constant sort of comfort to each other, something Poppyeyes valued more than he could say.
"Oh don't worry my dear sibling, Poppyeyes shall keep you safe on this dangerous patrol" Poppyeyes responded in the same playful tone he had before. His sibling could hunt fine; Poppyeyes couldn't. Poppyeyes could fight very well; Fennelpurr couldn't. The two worked well as a pair.  "Feathertail, Berrypaw and Cherrystar are with us as well! No worries here!" He glanced quickly to the medicine den. Hopefully Tigermoth was okay. Maybe Poppyeyes would pick some flowers for her.... wait no, that's too forward Poppyeyes, bring it back! A paw batting gently at his face brought his thoughts away from his caliby crush.
"So uh about food-" the cream tom pointed at the group of warriors-"STINKPELT, Silentflight, Briarstorm and Sunpaw are going hunting cause we way too low on food. Tigermoth was supposed to go too, but she sprained her leg I think. So we strong, strong warriors must wait for our meals. Tragic, no?"

Tigermoth- Warrior- She/her- Medicine cat den
Tigermoth paused in her fretting when her wound gave a painful twinge, she turned around and began to groom her wound, pausing when the pain became too much. Once she had cleaned her wound, she checked it out, it didn't seem too bad she thought, attempting to stand up to join the hunting patrol (and Poppyeyes) but her leg wouldn't let her put too much weight on it.

She sighed and decided to wait for the medicine cats to get back, so she could get official treatment. She started to think back on how kind and nice Poppyeyes had been but stopped her train of thought when she realised she had begun purring loudly. She blushed and buried her face in her tail. She hoped that Poppyeyes wasn't upset at her or had changed his opinion of her due to her injury, and she so wanted to impress Minkpelt who was like a second parent to Poppyeyes, but that had been ruined by her attempts to protect Sunpaw from harm.

She groaned aloud, before pausing, she hoped that her self pity hadn't awoken any of the elders. She sighed, slightly overwhelmed with her thoughts, before she cleared her throat and yawned. Her adrenaline rush had begun to wear out and she was feeling quite sleepy, so she rested her head on her paws and closed her eyes, before realising she hadn't checked in on her mother. "Oh mousedung" She hoped Leopardfreckle wasn't waiting for her and would be able to get something from the freshkill pile once the hunting patrol had come back.

Briarstorm - Warrior - they/them - Location: Camp Center

They gave back a chuckle to Silentflight, feeling more awake than ever. "Just hope you're ready to sleep with the elders until the stink comes off." They tipped their head into a laugh, and got up male way to the pathway to the lower level. Briarstorm halted in front of Minkpelt, and dipped their head.

"Morning, Minkpelt. Are we headed out soon?"  They were antsy to start their challenge with Silentflight.

Cherrystar - Leader - he/him - Location: Camp Center

Cherrystar tried to keep his face neutral, but inside his head was swarming about Rosefrost. The she-cat was still in pain, and unfortunately only time and the medicine cat could heal her. This was a task beyond him, and he sent a quick prayer to StarClan while he waited.

More cats were waking up, and his eyes landed on Berrypaw, watching the apprentice join the rest of the clan. The sun was coming up, making way for a warm day, and Cherrystar picked himself up, and walked over to where his patrol group were conjugated. "Morning Berrypaw," He dipped his head to the young cat, before addressing all the cats. "It seems like we're all here. Let's head out, and we should be back before sunhigh."

Silentflight - Warrior - He/Him - Camp Center --> Apprentices Den

Upon hearing that Sunpaw was alright, simply down on the lower levels likely making some sort of mischief, Silentflight hummed softly in acknowledgment. Then realized his own apprentice had yet to make an appearance. With Cherrystar giving the go-ahead to start patrols, the lanky tom figured he'd better go fetch Sharppaw before the hunting patrol got to far ahead of them. "I'll go get Sharppaw. We'll catch up to you." He meowed to Minkpelt in passing, hoping the deputy wouldn't be too irked. Having mentored Sharppaw for the past four moons, Silentflight found that there was a certain way to handle the apprentice. Some might think he was too soft with them, but Silentflight found the gentle approach worked best.

Slipping quietly into the dim apprentice den, the warrior scanned the nests until his gaze landed on a clump of curly lilac fur. "Good morning Sharppaw." Keeping his voice low, Silentflight sat down a respectful distance from the apprentice. "I'm going on the morning hunting patrol. Would you like to come?" Mornings, he noticed, were not always the easiest for Sharppaw. Usually he tried keeping the bulk of their training until after sun-high, sometimes staying out after sun-down to make sure they learned everything they needed to become a warrior. "If you do, there's a challenge with Briarstorm to see who can catch the most amount of prey; I could use your help." Of course he wouldn't actually count Sharppaw's kills towards his total, but maybe it was entice them to come.

Sharppaw- They/Them- Apprentice- Den

Sharppaw slowly blinked up at Silentflight; pretending to be asleep wouldn't work on their mentor anyways. Besides, Sharppaw begrudgingly admitted to themself, the strongness of the world was always worse when they were groggy. Hopefully moving around would make patrolling a touch more bearable. Sharppaw was just glad their mentor didn't seem to baby them or treat them less for being a bit…..slower….than their other clanmates.
Sharppaw listented about the proposal with a blank expression on their face until- "Wait, a challenge?" they purred, voice rising in volume with their excitement. Sharppaw immediately jumped up, moss still stuck in their curly fur. Embarrassed at their outburst the young jack immediately sat down again in front of Silentflight, dipping their head and simultaneously trying to get a clump of moss to stop sticking to their chest. "Sorry. But I would very much like to assist with your challenge." Despite their voice being monotone, Sharppaws soft smile and widened eyes revealed a sense of excitement.
Challenges, and by extention, games in general, had rules. Sharppaw liked rules. With rules, you knew what was the proper way to do things. If you did something wrong you would know exactly how you did it wrong. Easy and understandable. That's why Sharppaw liked to train so much- hunting techniques and fighting had rules as well. Step 1, 2, 3, ect. Miss a step and it's wrong.
If only clanmates had rules, Sharppaw often wished. Talking was hard. What does that raised eyebrow mean? Their voice rose halfway through their sentence, are they mad? No, it could be excitement, could be stress, could be joy. Emotions and expressions didn't have rules. So Sharppaw treated everyone with a neutral tone and respect. Who knows what is right and wrong when talking? Sharppaw certainly doesn't. What they do know however is that they want to impress their mentor. Maybe this challenge could be their chance to shine!

Minkpelt- Deputy- She/Her- Camp Centre --> just outside camp.
"Yes, I think everyone should be ready" Minkpelt murmered as she took one last look around camp. Turning to Briarstom and the rest, she simply motioned to the pathway to the first level, giving Silentflight a approving nod at their request to get Sharppaw. The more paws, the more food. The more food, the safer the clan. Leading Briarstorm behind them Minkpelt reaches the ground floor. "Sunpaw, we're going now" Minkpelt rasped as she climbed out the window and onto the soft grasses below. She sits in the sun, letting the light enhance her silver-blue fur. Minkpelt didn't think she was pretty, though she longed to be. However, she was given the prefix "Mink" due to how nice her fur was. Minkpelt knew though that once they were in the woods her fur would get tangled and matted. Any hint of her being more than just the fierce deputy would vanish. For now though, she could enjoy this small moment.

Sunblaze - Warrior - She/Her - Location: Camp Centre

Sunblaze lay outside the rickety old twoleg nest in the shade, hoping for some peace and quiet. She often enjoyed being alone,  but other times if she was alone too long she would get very scared and have panic attacks. So she just mostly hangs out around the camp, despite the fact that she doesn't talk to anyone because she thinks that they will judge her for the exact reason her parents judged her. She didn't want friends, or a mate because she thinks that if she gets too attached to them and they leave her, she will get heartbroken all over again. And she just can't take all that pain again.

She rests her head on her paws and closes her eyes, drifting off to sleep in just a few minutes.

Fennelpurr - Warrior - He/They - Location: Camp Center

They perked up listening to their brother's explanation on how today's patrols were going to play out, feeling reassured about their safety.

"What would I ever do without you?" He grins with their eyes slightly closed.

As Poppyeyes talks, they notice his mind trail off somewhere else as he looks away from them. Fennelpurr slightly looks over as well, curious. Poppyeyes brings their attention back by the mention of Tigermoth's condition, visibly making them concerned. The three of them have been really good friends since their apprenticeships, and have only continued getting closer over the moons. Fennelpaw at the time, would spend a fair portion of his days caring after Tigerpaw, seeing how her mother's sick condition would deeply affect her. They always made sure she was feeling okay and tried his upmost best to make her smile. If she was hurt it affected him as well.

"Tigermoth?? What do you mean? Where is she? Is she alright??" His eyes grew wide with hurt overlooking the fact that it was just a sprain. Now it all connected as to why their brother was looking back at the medicine den! Judging by his expression beforehand, maybe they overreacted a tad bit.

Berrypaw - Apprentice - She/Her - Location: Camp Center

Berrypaw dips her small head back to Cherrystar. She feels content going on a patrol with her leader, she has a lot of respect for him. The young apprentice gets up and starts following his lead until her eyes spot Feathertail, her mentor.

She still didn't know what to make of her yet. Feathertail made for a great mentor in hindsight, she was very knowledgeable, understanding, and graceful, but maybe Berrypaw was just picky. She's quite a hard cat to get along with in the first place, and isn't fond of the idea of opening to others to quickly nor did she make much of an effort to. Nonetheless, pushing a bit of her pride aside, she respectfully dips her head to greet the beautiful she-cat. She wasn't going to be disrespectful.

"Good morning, Feathertail."

Swanstorm- She-cat - Medicine Cat - Location: Outside

"Now that we're here, why don't we review some of the herbs you've learnt." Swanstorm suggested, her whiskers twitching. "What is the herb used for fever?"

She gave a simple question- Littlepaw was due to answer correctly. But she still had to focus on collecting chamomile, as it grew in specific places around here and can be challenging to find if one didn't know the exact spot. The she-cat inhaled through her mouth and exhaled with her nose, testing the air for scents of the flower. She had begun to trot at a steady place, intending to finish this quickly and head back to check on the clan.

Perhaps someone already got hurt. Swan'Storm curled her tail in amusement. Foreshadowing?
