Hello players! We hope you have had fun playing since the Public Launch! It's been 10 days and a lot has happened already! For now, our updates will not be scheduled, however you can always check the Home page for everyday updates, fixes and edits! We will summarize changes with each news post!

The server doesn't mind the number of players online, but it is sometimes experiencing some odd NOBABY , which has resulted in some recent downtime. Our team is working hard on making everything go smoothly, and we will upgrade the server even more if necessary! We'll keep you updated - for now, we apologize for the midnight lags and other issues.

Now, let's check out our first update! :D

Lethals and Immortals

As you know from the wardrobe and our teasers, we have had four lethal mutations and two submutations present in the game from the start.

However, implementation of the immortal mechanic was pushed back due to our Public Launch delay, so we held back on enabling lethals - we didn't want to have them be born without an option to make them immortal!

But never fear. The hidden genetics and recessive genes have been working just fine since EA launch and some of your wolves do have these genes and have passed them on! Since we're enabling the visuals for mutated wolves, you will start seeing visible results now as these puppies are born! (this does not mean existing wolves will suddenly show mutations, it refers to breeding new puppies)


From now on, a Jellyfish item that makes a wolf of your choosing immortal will be available in the Grove. The price of this item is comparable to same item on our sister site, Lioden - the currency conversion makes it slightly cheaper, but it is different from the Lioden item in that it works for any wolf of any age - adults, puppies, it doesn't matter. The Jellyfish item can be applied to anyone!

We've decided to use the same familiar art for it as it fits in here too!

You can buy immortal slots in your den - the price for each successive immortal slot grows in increments.

Once you give a Jellyfish to your wolf, it will have an Ankh icon next to it, so you can easily identify immortal wolves on your Den page.


A notification will show on your wolf's page as well:
This wolf is immortal! It will never age or die. It cannot be bred or used in roles, or retired into.

An immortal wolf will be permanently at 100% happiness and will never age. Unlike immortal lions on Lioden, however, when you make a wolf immortal its heritage will not be wiped. It will look pretty much normal! You can decorate it and change its looks, like on any other wolf! If you have a wolf you want to keep forever and give it some unique (upcoming) Custom Decor, bio lore and stuff like that, you can continue to do so, just as you would with any other wolf!

  • Cannot be used on any wolf with a role
  • Cannot be used on a Lead Wolf
  • Immortal Wolves can't breed

But, unlike mortal wolves, your immortal wolves cannot contribute towards your pack and cannot have roles or hunt, forage, etc. The wolf is basically frozen in time. You can sell or trade immortal wolves if you want too - the buyer will simply need an immortal slot free to house the wolf.

If you ever get tired of an immortal wolf, you can retire it for free and send it to your dynasty - the immortal slot it occupied will then become available again! You will not receive a replacement Jellyfish upon retiring an immortal wolf, however, so you will need to purchase another if you wish to fill your immortal slot.


Now, time to summarize our updates!

Minor Changes

* Base "Dravit" has been renamed to "Dravite"

* Pup Stages illustration in the Grove has been changed to reflect actual pup stage art in-game.

* Default Puppy eyes received an update with an extra shadow to make them less pronounced. This change will be visible on existing wolves in new or refreshed images.

* The Forum Rules topics have been moved and pinned to the applicable boards for better accessibility. The Forum Rules board still lists them all in one handy place.

* Sheep Carcass is now named Dall Sheep Carcass

* Trade search now includes a "Name" field for all search types (General, Wolves, Items, Currency); previously only wolf trades could be searched specifically by name. The "Keywords" field will search only the "wants" section of trades.

* Immortal slot expansion has now been enabled on territory pages. Note that this is only the number of immortal wolves you can own, buying a slot will not make a wolf immortal.

Minor Addition

* An item which removes mutations permanently - Osha - is now available in Raccoon Wares.

* Bug fix confirmed for Butterfly Wing Item Use.

* Bug fix confirmed for Didn't get my companion wolf (the second starter one ).

* Bug fix confirmed for Cannot Set Breeding Male.

* Bug fix confirmed for Thick Fur Tuft has "Use Item" option..

* Bug fix confirmed for Incorrect pup counter.

* Bug fix confirmed for Venom Gland use.

* Bug fix confirmed for Herbalist page "Error has been logged".

* Bug fix confirmed for Able to access forum areas that aren't actually available.

* Bug fix confirmed for Hoard Sort Will "unsort" when order is changed.

* Bug fix confirmed for Not Being Given Herbalist Quest.

* Bug fix confirmed for my first cave mission is bug.

* Bug fix confirmed for Spelling mistake in intro text ("unphased").

* Bug fix confirmed for Not just for bears -putting wolves into cave not progressing.

* Bug fix confirmed for Blurry Dynasty Image.

* Bug fix confirmed for Able to set a nameless topic.

* Bug fix confirmed for (Low Priority) Typo in opossum encounter.

* Bug fix confirmed for Herbalist quest repeat.

* Bug fix confirmed for Not able to go to den.

Small update:

 - The Blue Moon background will disappear from Wolvden on November 1st and will be available again in time for the Blue Moon in August 2021!

- We added additional information to clarify how the Equipper works:

Nothing will change on your wolf until you press the 'Save Changes' button. When 'Save Changes' is pressed, items will be equipped to your wolf and lose -1 use per item. Items already equipped to the wolf do not lose another use. Items equipped to wolves will not appear in your hoard until they are unequipped again.
