Shenzi was the omega of the pack. She had joined on a few months ago, hence her lower ranking at the start. She found herself picked on sometimes and having to submit all the time was slowly growing annoying to the she wolf. However, she managed just fine. Sure she was slightly underweight now that winter had arrived and food was scarce, but Shenzi found ways to get around eating last. Hunting during down time was one way. This also gave her time to be alone and away from the pack. As she was not yet used to being in a group.

The snow crunched under her black paws as she moved through the forest. Her nose picked up a few scents, one being rabbit. It would serve as a decent snack, if she could catch it. She moved towards the rabbit, tracking it through aroma and the little prints in the blanket of white. It didn't stand out as much as she did, so moving in towards the critter was tricky for Shenzi. Her body lingered low to the ground, black belly scraping against the snow. She launched her attack, chasing the rabbit. However, her efforts proved fruitless as she lost it as it ran into a hidden burrow.

With a huff of annoyance, Shenzi returned to the heart of the pack's territory - the camp where the wolves gathered and rested.  Another huff of air escaped the female as she arrived, pillars of smoke flying from her nostrils from the cold. Her blue-green eyes scanned the area for a spot to lay down and rest for a bit before attempting to try again later.  She eventually settled under an evergreen tree.
