My doctor wanted to put me on Lipitor. But my mom took it for a while years ago and it didn't work well for her. So I decided to try red yeast rice instead. It's a natural statin and is known to cause fewer bad reactions and side effects. My most recent bloodwork shows my cholesterol is under control now.
