in a wooded, deciduous, Forest, a blessing was upon the Death-Moon pack. a Mother wolf had set up a nest, after studing and successfully mating. she was one of many, and it was a harsh winter with many pups being taken in. The she-wolf was tired and laid her head over her paws, as she watched the Sitter-pups. she had been waiting a while for the stud to return from a long hunt, along with the leader Storming Death. she had been pacing around the dens, looking for something. when a howl had come from her den, many of the pups followed Red-fur to the leader's den, a horrified gasp went around when emerald was lying dead, and frozen near the leader's den. The poor pup was buried, followed by a meeting. Now the leader was extra on edge, Guessing because her mate was on a hunting trip. it was a story to be told when the leader was on edge, which hardly happened. The leader den was pretty warm during the winter, being filled with moss during the fall to keep out cold air. it was when the leader was weening 2 pups off. she had traded 1 pup a month in effect and was satisfied after a successful fall. but the winter had been tough on a lot of the new members and original members. it was a harsh winter and most didn't think it would take a pups life, in the 1st few days of winter. |
