That said, if this post is in the wrong place or if such a post already exists elsewhere, please feel free to delete and drop me a line, so I know for future reference, please! As stated, I'm new here and I noticed that we don't have anywhere where we can 'make notes' on various colour genes we've come across in our breeding (again, I haven't perused the ENTIRE website yet, so please tell me if I need correction). So I thought it would be interesting to see what base colour/ eye colour combinations came from crossings of what colour parents. My first breeding was a Glaucous with Orange eyes and a Marengo with Blue eyes. I got 2 pups: 1x Khaki with Olive eyes 1x Honeydew (0.95%) with Brown eyes What combos has everyone gotten? Any rare colours? Any advice for noobs and others interested in breeding interesting colours? Let's all have help each other and have fun! |

But I wonder what other colours you could get from that combination. If we look at my above example, for example, neither of the pups had either parents base colour, which is something you'd expect if this game follows a simplified version of genetics (which can be seen by the markings, as both pups inherited their father's blaze marking). Please don't think I'm bashing, I'm not. I truly appreciate your input. It's good advice and something I'll keep in mind when breeding for specific colour/marking combos. However, what I'd like to know is what 'offset'/recessive/ whatever-you'd-like-to-call-it colours you'd get from breeding two base colours. Or what 'surprises' you (or anyone) got. |
