Crusader Wolves. (WIP/OPEN FOR SUBSCRIPTION)

Is anyone here familiar with Crusader Kings II or III?

THIS IS STILL A WIP, SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND I WOULD LOVE TO BE OFFERED ADVICE AND IDEAS. You can register now.

If you want me to create a Religion and Culture, Message me with the information and I will add it!

Let's build something similar.

A world of wolves related, based upon Role playing with no need to Roleplay unless desired, but plotting is required to keep this dynamic among wolves.

This would be game-long, meaning it would be paced as the game advances regarding ages and pups.

Religions: Every pack can have its own religion, some can be rooted from another's or maybe have the same religion (In cases there has been prior contact, or one pack shared ancestors with the other before). Keep in mind, equal religion would mean more willingness to aid another pack and also more willingness to form alliances. This must be respected ALWAYS.

** Religions might be more accepting of another if both are found in proximity or share certain beliefs, for example, about the afterlife, sins, and virtues.

** Religions might become mixed with time and form a new religion when two packs/clans are too close to another for generations.

Culture: Cultures would include language, gender laws, music, rituals, decorations (Feathers/Skulls/Gold/etc, might be included in-game or not, but keep it somehow realist, wolves cannot craft shirts or pants; exceptions might be made, just ask me) ideologies about the weather (For example, eclipses being a death sentence) and coloring (Black coat equals bad luck and white coat equals good luck). Similarly to religions, proximity might lead to similarities among cultures and thus, make alliances easier and easier to understand.

** Keep in mind the language barrier; wolves might communicate easily by body language (Thus, verbal communication would be most useful for role-playing, and it would hardly cause misunderstandings when showing one has a desire to fight or one is submissive about a situation). Body language would always be universal (Some actions, like kissing, touching foreheads, hugging, etc might have different meanings culturally; but growling, tail position, body position, play bow and other similar actions would be universal for all wolves). If there exists a difference in language, you might write in English, but state as on OOC comment in the first post the language the character understands, and Roleplay it accordingly.

** SOME LANGUAGES MIGHT BE SIMILAR, for example, Spanish and Portuguese are very similar and I often understand CERTAIN words of Portuguese even if I do not speak the language; I, however, cannot understand full sentences, you might use this but understand the limitations.

Economy: You might decide what your pack values as a currency and make in-character trades or create a trading treaty with another pack based on this. These items can be, for example, certain feathers, animal skins, horns, or skulls.

Breeding and Marriages: You can choose which pups will be a part of this, or which pups would be just for a game breeding project. A wolf for a breeding project cannot be added to the Crusader Wolves universe, it must be born into it from your alpha/another player's alpha or your Alpha's mate (To keep numbers manageable, if not, we would have 10000 Crusader Wolves running around; this is subject to change). Bastards exist, marriages for alliances exist and so do planned marriages. This does not mean your character will be happy with the planned marriage, and you can use this to write tragic love stories with another person.

** You must create a cave to keep your participating wolves separated from the rest of your pack; Alphas are always participant.

** Not all pups can be made part of this universe (Again, to keep numbers manageable), only 3 from your alpha, one Heir, and two siblings for betrothal purposes; these pups can be fathered from different wolves, but keep in mind bastards would be seen badly by other Alphas, and children from non-participating wolves (Which would be deemed children of non-royal, thus common blood wolves) would also be seen even more badly from other's perspective. You can also have 1 pup from your alpha's mate (Which can be a bastard also) In total, you can have 4 participating wolves each alpha you have; you can skip litters or ignore their existence for your alpha if no pup convinces you or you just bred for colors or stats, you can choose wisely.

** You can play hardcore, and only the firstborn pup can be your heir, and the siblings born from their first litter the ones you use.

** Only when you start you are allowed to chose a mate among your own wolves, after that, you will need to interact with other players. Rule refuted. You can always marry your wolves to any of your own; this will, however, carry the common-blood opinion (Unless you roleplay/plot something extraordinary from the lowborn mate; for example, exceptional warrior or hunter being what led to the marriage. Wolves with this feature will have the "Lucky Life" trait, and this feature will become locked for 2 generations).

** Keep in mind that if your character marries another participating wolf, your 3 wolves will be separated from theirs, totaling 6 possible chosen wolves for your couple. I will not intervene with these arrangements, those are totally up to you and your characters. Also, marrying another participating wolf will create an alliance, and eventually can turn into mixed religion and culture, which would just show the great relationships among both packs.

Government type: ONLY TRIBAL EXISTS AT THE MOMENT. Later, however, some packs might be lieges of others if that is what you desire, but I'll have to make arrangements for that later.

Wars: TO BE CONSTRUCTED.

END OF WIP.

Known Religions and Cultures:

Religions:

  1. Stellaris - Religion based upon stargazing and the night sky; Single God religion. Mostly pacifist. Founded by the Lepos Pack.

Main Good God - Luna, the goddess of the Moon, believed to be pure white with grey bright eyes without an iris. Mother of fertility and protector of Stellaris believing wolves.

Main Antagonistic God - Nonexistent.

Afterlife Belief - Turned into a star to live alongside Luna in the sky realm, watching over those who remain alive when living a virtuous life, otherwise, condemned to disappearing.

Sins - Disrespecting females, killing just for sport, and polluting sacred water.

Virtues - Clean and sleek kills, avoiding conflict, and star reading.

Cultures:

  1. Lupin - Completely dependant on the Stellaris Religion.

Language - Mostly uses Ls paired with vocals (La, Le, Lo, Lu), and these have a really strong pronunciation. Otherwise, similar to human Latin.

Gender Laws - Matriarchy; Females are held in higher positions than males.

Music and Rituals - No music at the moment. Every Fall Equinox, the pack throws the biggest Elk skull they earned during the year to a sacred lake inside the Pack's territory as a tribute to Luna in a ceremony. Every full moon the whole pack would get together to howl.

Decorations - Blue Jay feathers and Elk Skulls.

Ideologies - White coated wolves are believed to be blessed by Luna since they are a weird occurrence. Albino Wolves would be claimed Luna's ambassador on earth. Grey eyed wolves are considered better hunters and warriors, as they are blessed with Luna's glance. Moon Eclipses are considered bad luck, thus, when one occurs wolves refrain from anything, drinking, eating, hunting, exploring, and even fighting until the Moon Eclipse ends.
