FOREWORD

Even as sun shines and birds sing, an atmosphere charged by longing and farewell surrounds you. Coming upon a tall hill, perhaps the prairie's tallest, you see a stunning she-wolf sitting atop it, silent and still. For a second, you even consider whether or not she's a statue, and her features carved of gold. But you see how her fur ripples as a breeze gently blows, how her eyes swirl, deep emotion and thought evident in those smoky depths.

Glancing behind her at your approach, she returns her gaze across those rolling plains. "It never wanes," she quips softly. "How painful it is to see a pack-member go. But I cannot deny how bittersweet it is, too. Those who elect to depart us and face those wilds and other packs are wolves apart. I could never claim such bravery, I'll admit it. So I sit here, watch our loved ones find a new path, and hold vigil for them; I send a prayer to Fate, that they might find what they seek, in safety and health."

Rising to her feet, she turns to you, offering a pleasant smile. "I doubt you came to listen to me mull for hours," she manages as a chuckle. "I am A New Dawn. Welcome to Initiis Novis' territory. I'll walk you to our den; I'm sure you've business here, or else you need guidance, as all do, at some point." True to her word, A New Dawn begins to walk away, expecting you to follow. But you don't fail to notice how she pauses to look behind her one last time, before she releases a deep breath - one she seemed to hold for some time - and walk away.

Thanks for dropping in! Here, I'll document what wolves I've chased in hopes that they'll be found! Please read these listed guidelines to keep you oriented.

Should you find a wolf I've chased, please check under its entry here to see if I've listed that I want it returned! I am more than happy to pay a reasonable fee for a wolf's return to my pack, after discussion via PMs.


• Screenshots of a wolf's profile and family lines will be kept as proof of ownership and chasing, but these will not be made public until a wolf reappears.
