Inbreeding?

Inbreeding?

In real life breeders avoid inbreeding to avoid harmful recessive disorders and poor health in general.  Disorders (mutations) seem to be desirable in Wolvden for the novelty/uniqueness.  So why the dislike for inbreeding in the game?  Is there a reason or is it arbitrary?

Partly wondering because when I joined I was gifted a wolf who was highly inbred and I didn't know that was an issue at the time and I still have a few of her descendants who I think are very beautiful and high statted but now I'm wondering if I should just abandon that entire line.

I thing some people are just morally opposed to it? It's a game so  morality isn't that much of a problem so idk

In the game, it's pretty much entirely preference. Some people simply don't like having inbred wolves- for me, it's almost like a challenge to get good wolves without inbreeding- it'd be easier to get what I want if I inbred my wolves, but it's kinda like raising the difficulty by avoiding it.

I have non-inbred lines and a few with a little bit of inbreeding. You can have different requirements for each of your lines.

@Leonca That's what I think I'll end up doing and just keep those remaining wolves lines separate from some newer lines I'm working on.
