Main RP ThreadClosed to new characters, NPCs are still available to claim! (Except for a few people, you know who you are.)There are three packs of wolves in the area. Each dwell in a different biome, and all have different color schemes and stereotypes. The leadership system is different for each pack. Map  - Up to 4 characters per person! If your character dies, you may make a new one, but please don't constantly kill off your characters just to make new ones. You do not have to make four characters. - Only one pack leader, herbalist, or scout per person! Let's give opportunities to everyone! - Once you make a character, please wait for me to approve it before RPing! - NPC characters are listed in italics. Anyone may play these and decide their personalities, and you may claim them as your own character if you wish! - And again, have fun! ^^ . Ψ Fossil Pack Ψ The wolves of Fossil Pack are rough and rowdy. They love music, and can often be seen thumping their tails on stretched hide drums or tapping out beats on brittle bones. Their territory is a huge desert, covered in cacti and dangerous creatures. They have the most advanced herbalists, as they need plenty of antidote to survive the snake-and-scorpion-infested lands. Fossil Pack's camp surrounds a beautiful oasis, which they defend fiercely. It is the only speck of green that can be seen anywhere in their territory. Most of the wolves are either a dark blond or a dusty orange, to blend in with their blazing environment, and most are scruffy and lean, covered in desert sand. Fossil Pack honours a scorpion goddess named Serket with every festival. They believe her to be the god of poison, death, and suffering, but also healing, recovery, and life. She represents hope in the midst of loss and perseverance despite bad circumstances. Roles Deputy:* Sting Scouts: Buck Herbalists: Ziuh, Flare Hunters: Scorpion, Xerus Pupsitters: Adolescents: Fen Pups: Speckle, Slash, Ostrich, Elders: Dune (retired early due to lost leg) . 𓅂 Cliff Pack 𓅂 Calm and dangerous, Cliff Pack's wolves are strong fighters and even better hunters. Their primary prey are birds, especially larger ones such as ospreys, hawks, buzzards, and falcons. Cliff Pack's territory is a treacherous mountain, with large rocks everywhere and tall trees dotted around the landscape. There are plenty of rocky caves for the wolves to dwell in, and most make their homes in the depths of the cave. They believe that the higher up the mountain a wolf goes, the closer they are to the Sun's benevolent gaze, watching over them. As a result, the leaders of the pack often live in the higher caves, and the altitude of a wolf's living place shows their status. The wolves of Cliff Pack are usually grey or a very muted brown. They are muscular and many have huge scars covering them, which they view to be a sign of strength. Holy and untouchable, the Sun is said to watch over the wolves of Cliff Pack, guiding them and their actions. The Sun represents benevolent omniscience, a huge eye that sees all. Roles Second-In-Command:* Kestrel Scouts: Cillian Herbalist:* Bluebird Lead Hunter:* Kira Hunters: Talon, Tempest, Liatris Pupsitters: (If there are pups) Adolescents: Focus, Aparna Pups: Cloud, Hawk, Dari, Condor Elders: Cycad . ꕥ Spring Clan ꕥ This pack is one of the brightest and friendliest clans. Spring Clan is extremely tight-knit, and they listen to the opinions of even the smallest and most insignificant wolves. Despite this, they are welcoming to outsiders, and many of their wolves are former loners. Spring Clan's territory is a large forest, abundant with herbs and flowers. Their camp lies near a calm lake, where willow trees hang low over the surface of the water and purple and blue flowers bloom in every crack. Birds and small rodents are everywhere and are the pack's main prey. They occasionally catch a bighorn sheep or a white-tail deer, but mostly survive on squirrels and pheasants. The wolves of Spring Clan usually have light to dark brown pelts, often with yellow or white accents. Colours vary the most in this pack because they take in so many outsiders. Many of them decorate their fur with flowers, as they are abundant in their territory. Spring Clan believes life to be like a flower, blooming in an infinite garden of beauty. They may wilt and wither, but that is just life, and flowers are to be enjoyed while they are beautiful. Some wolves claim that a gardener exists, tending to them, but most just like the poetic metaphor of the Flower of Life. Tips for making a good character: People have all sorts of personalities, so don't just go for the stereotypes! Your characters should have both good and bad traits, along with strengths and weaknesses. They don't need to all be physical or emotional, have an interesting mix of traits that make your character rounded out! Your character's backstory should influence how they act! People are shaped by their experiences, so someone growing up in a healthy family is more likely to be a loving parent, and someone who almost drowned growing up might be afraid of water, etc. Also, not all characters need dramatic backstories! Some people have better lives than others, and not everyone has terrible experiences that scar them for life. Making cool backstories for your characters is fun, but make sure they aren't defined by their trauma! They should have other traits as well, that make them interesting and fun to play. But most of all, this is all for fun, so go wild with your characters! Make them funny, smart, a hopeless romantic, whatever you wish!  |

Gender: Female (she/her) Pack: Fossil Pack Role: Deputy Personality: Sting is calmer and more calculating than most of the wolves in Fossil Pack, but is still loud and boisterous. She loves hanging out with others and is very loyal to her pack. Everyone loves- or at least respects- her, and she is the perfect deputy. Sting is a bit nervous about becoming leader, but she knows she will be ready when it happens. When she fights, Sting is like a spear, quick, direct, and fast. She will put herself in the way of anything that will try to hurt her pack, and is a fierce fighter, ready to defend her pack from any threat that comes their way. She can be careless with her own life, and struggles with letting others do their job, preferring to do everything herself. Backstory: Sting was born in Fossil Pack, growing up in the rough and dangerous areas in the edge of the territory. She learned to defend herself, as her mother had died in childbirth and she hadn't had anyone to protect her. One day, she saw one of the pups in the pack being trailed by a hungry-looking coyote. She fought and protected the pup from it, and earned respect from the rest of the wolves. She became deputy after proving herself to be worthy, fighting and defending the pack with her life. She still needs to get used to her role, but she knows she will do well. Appearance: < Sting > |

Gender: Female (she/her) Pack: Spring Clan Role: Pup Personality: Jive is extremely friendly and curious, and will try to eat anything she deems edible, which can get her into trouble at times. She will also constantly ask questions to the adults around her and loves herbs and flowers. She also loves to dance and sing, and can often be seen practising her cute little howls. Backstory: Jive was born in Spring Clan. Her father is Lichen, who loves and cares for her. She often wandered outside the territory, and still does, occasionally dragging back confused loners. Gender: Male (he/him) Pack: Cliff Pack Role: Hunter/Former Patriarch Personality: Talon is bitter and cruel. He holds onto grudges for a long time, and is always at least a little grumpy. He lost his mate, the former leader, in the last cold season, and has become quiet and snappish ever since. He fights furiously, and would give his life for the pack. He hopes to find something to live for, so he won't feel so empty anymore. His cave is nearly at the top, just under the leaders' and second-in-command's, and he sometimes stays there for hours at a time, silently brooding. Backstory: Talon was born in Cliff Pack, a long time ago, and his parents had since died of old age. He became mates with the last leader, Quartz, and loved him with all his heart. They lived happily for a while, until the last cold season's tragedy struck. Quartz died of a bitter cough, and Talon resigned, unable to continue leading without his mate. He now serves his pack as a respected hunter, catching prey for the pack. He is an expert at finding nests, and equally as good at leaping and catching prey. Appearance: < Talon > |

Gender: Female (She/Her) Pack: Cliff Pack Role: Herbalist Personality: Bluebird is rough and hard-headed, never backing away before her point is achieved. She has trouble taking other wolves' opinions to heart, straying away from what the majority of the pack wants to do. She's, though, quick-witted and can find a way out of most hard situations. Yet when things go wrong, Bluebird pessimistically overthinks. Her humour is quite ark and the she-wolf can make fun even of a cruel death, her nature is sarcastic and disrespectful since birth. Backstory: Born and raised in the Cliff Pack, Bluebird could feel her mother being distant from her rather than her other pups, as the little female heavily resembled her gone father who Lark (mother) had 'small issues' with, before. Bluebird was jealous for the attention and love her littermates got, seeing them showered with affection while she was left out, and so the she-wolf didn't get a nice understanding of friendship, or more. To her 'joy', all her siblings left the world during adolescentship. The death didn't emotionally affect Bluebird, other than a victorious smirk when the news were delivered. Gender: (and pronouns) Male (FtM) he/him Pack: Spring Pack Role: Scout Personality: Approachable and friendly. Tends to be cautious and suspicious at times. Lichen is weary of strangers and tends to avoid conflict. Very loving to his family and likes to teach new things to his pup. Backstory: Born a loner. He has little to no memory of his life outside of the pack, but he knows he was in danger repeatedly due to his parents never finding a safe place to be. They dropped him off at the border of the Spring Pack when he was sick, lessening their burden. He was raised without any surrogate parents but it didn't really bother him, or so he says. He was picked to be the next scout as he had vast knowledge about the wilderness and learned quickly new routes. Lichen very unexpectedly fell in love with his mate and they discussed about pups, the concept of family scaring him. But he wanted to be better than his parents were. But his doubts plagued him. He'd still try. Appearance: Lichen is a bit smaller than average, with long fluffy fur (like on a long coated German shepherd). His upper back and neck is decorated with forget-me-nots, and his left hind leg is a little twisted and scarred. Lichen Lichen is also Jive's dad! |

Gender: (and pronouns) Male (He/him) Pack: Cliff Pack Role: Scout Personality: Very competitive, Cillian often fights, but never dirty. He rarely responds in more than monosyllables unless he is being ordered to do something he knows he won't enjoy. He kills without compunction, and if it bother someone they shouldn't confront him. Despite his aloof nature, He has a fear of getting too close to someone and then losing them. He is very independent and skilled in combat. He prefers to work alone, or with a singular person that has trained well enough to match his abilities. He defends his point in a conversation mercilessly, and is always looking for a not-so-friendly debate. He loves any type of weapons, and will use them to his benefit in any type of situation. Not usually friendly, he keeps to himself, and is hostile. He has trust and anger issues, but tries to hide it from most people. Gender: Male, He/Him Pack: Fossil Pack Role: Scout Personality: Buck is rather sociable and loves a good gossip. He's adventurous and a little bit reckless with his behavior, and can't really sit still either.. He's easily fascinated with fossils and uses them to decorate around his nest claiming that they are relics he found while scouting as he exaggerates his ventures. Buck is also fun-loving, but this may (or) may not earn him the ire from his own pack or other wolves due to his laid-back approach to things. Backstory: Buck was born and bred in the Fossil Pack to a single father who often told wild tales of humans prospering in the west. As a pup, he would often doze off in the middle of class daydreaming about those fictional scenarios, but scoldings from the older pack members didn't seem to bother him much. Even as an adult, he still spouts off tall tales whenever he can. He can be seen sometimes with a small entourage of a few pups as he describes the stories his father passed down onto them. Gender: Female (she/her) Pack: Cliff Pack Role: Lead Hunter Personality: A rough she-wolf, Kira is fiercely loyal to her pack. Boldness stemming from her background in hunting, she's always prepared to speak out if something displeases her. Having lived with the pack for so many years simply adds to that. She's extremely stubborn and can get aggressive, fighting her way to lead hunter was how she got the role after all. Unlike most wolves, Kira isn't afraid to fight dirty, willing to get a lot riskier in a fight so that she would win. Most of the time it worked... but certainly not all the time. Backstory: Kira was born in the pack, two pupsitters who fell in love, had kids, and all that. But why would Kira want to be a pupsitter? She saw the hunters, leaping to drag ospreys and buzzards out of the air, killing them in one fell bite. She had the build for a hunter, all long-legged but still (a little) muscled, perfect to leap and land to snatch birds out of the air. So she started training, of course. No one took her seriously but after the first few serious fights, they allowed her into a proper team. And so, she worked her way up, through fighting and skill, proving that she could - and would - be the best she can. Appearance: image source! Gender: Confused Female (Zhe/Her) Pack: Cliff Pack Role: Matriarch Personality: Mist is calm more often than not, but when she's alone with someone she trusts enough she has a very colorfull personality. often being happy-go-lucky. zhe's kind hearted, and often desribed as a "Warm Wolf to be around". Zhe is tarribly afraid of fire, and absolutely loves swimming. She doesnt have a mate yet, she's waiting to find that perfect someone to have pups with. Echo's also a helpless romantic, more often than not romantasizing moments that were intented to be friendly or platonic. She often comes to her senses about this quickly though, her logic able to guide her a little more than her aching heart. Her personality stays mostly hidden around most of the Cliff Pack, most of the wolves just know her as the big, silent leader who only speaks when it really counts. Backstory: Mist was raised by both of her parents, and lived a very content life with her brother up until adulthood. As an adult, She lost her brother in a forest fire while she and him were exploreing. she escaped with nothing but a scar and a bit of truama. greatful to have her life, sad she lost her brother.
