examples
example 1. present tense, third person, scene, 199 SC
It had only been a few days since Vixi left the Western Mountain when her hackles raise and her ears prick. A sudden gust of autumn wind brought along with it the scent of a wolf...

The other wolf must have been watching Vixi closely, because as soon as she reacts to their scent, they come out of their hiding. Where Vixi's fur sticks out against the desert's sand, this wolf blends in quite well.

"You are doing well for someone without a pack," the other wolf says, their tail lowering to show their lack of hostility. They're watching Vixi with intent, picking her apart with their eyes to the point where if Vixi had been a younger wolf she may have been intimidated, or run off.

"I am not packless," Vixi says in turn. "I am a traveler."

The other wolf doesn't react for a few moments, just watching her. "Traveler..." they say, addressing her. Their scent is — as far as Vixi can discern through the breeze — curious, but not wary, and maybe thoughtful? They scrutinize her again, coming closer, and then turning away. "Come with me."

That had been Ronum, the leader of the pack Sena Arwah.

example 2. past tense, second person, summary, 137 SC
When you were still a puppy, your mother crossed the plains to bring you to her pack. You're told she made the journey to the deciduous forest to have a safer birth, for she was due in Winter.

You had three littermates. Along the way, two were passed along to other packs, and all that made it back to Sena Arwah was you and your brother. Your mother could not travel with all of you. You don't remember much of the other two, or if they had names, but the journey is something you recall fondly. You often wonder what your littermates are doing now, and how different their lives might be from yours. You think you want to make a journey of your own, maybe even back to the forest you were born in and farther.

example 3. past tense, third person, bio, 199 SC
The first to join the pack after Ronum and Suyan, he helped take care of Toro and Lime since they were puppies. He was chased away by his parents as a puppy, not willing to learn to hunt. As an adult, he still dislikes the process of hunting. Ronum & Suyan offered him a place, and he accepted graciously, to belong in a pack even if he didn't do anything for them. As thanks, Chase now looks after all the Sena Arwah puppies, and as the pack grows and the leaders have more duties, he has been put in charge of training and watching over all the new pupsitters as well. Even though he doesn't particularly enjoy this, he much prefers it to any other role, and he wants to contribute in some way. Chase's goal is to make sure every puppy from Sena Arwah is able to do what they enjoy in a way that will be cherished and accepted once they grow. He tries to nudge them towards duties that, while aligning with their desires, would benefit a pack, so that they will not be neglected or chased away when creating or joining another pack on their own.
