"Atila," Sun said gruffly in his commanding voice. "Would you like to come practice hunting with me? You need to work on your strength." It was clear that this wasn't a question, but an order. Sun's paw instinctively reached up towards his wolf tail necklace, which he tapped fondly before arching his eyebrows at Atila, awaiting an answer. |

Toyak glanced at the huge male. "Did you know he killed his sibling to get that wolf tail?" She hissed softly to Alaska. Alibi Overhearing this, Alibi glanced over. "That's just a rumour, dear. We don't know if it's true," she gently admonished th adolescent before turning back to Moon. Sun Sun seemed to think for a moment, then tapped his claws on the ground. "Toyak, you come too." |

Sun flicked his tail at the adolescent, who padded nervously behind him, her footsteps light and agile. "We're heading to the pine forest," he said matter-of-factly. He glared at Toyak. "We need to work on your scenting. You've learned how to find scent trails, but you need work on keeping and following." He tilted his head down to look Toyak in the eyes. "So, can you find a scent trail here?" Toyak The adolescent nodded and closed her eyes. Trying her best to ignore the scent of pine and fresh rain, she sniffed the ground for any smell of fur, sweat, meat, blood. There it was, a thick, musky smell. It must be close. She looked up to realize that Sun was clutching a squirrel carcass in his jaws, dangling it in front of her. "Hey!" She grumbled. "That's not fair!" She quickly subsided, glancing up at Sun. "At least I smelled that…?" She said sheepishly. Sun "Anyone could have smelled that," he told her. "What if you needed to find a scent trail when you were already carrying some fresh-kill? You need to be able to smell the things that are far away, not just the closest thing." Toyak Toyak sighed, closing her eyes and concentrating once again. |

"What's the next move, Sun?" She blinks slowly at him, one of her canines peeking out from under her lip. Nothings bored Atila more than Sun's lectures, but she knew if she didn't at least act like she was paying full attention, she'd get reprimanded. |

Sun Sun half-absentmindedly pulled on his wolf-tail necklace. "Well, if Toyak can manage to find a trail, we'll see." He glanced at Atila, his eyes narrowed and his lips pressed into a tight line. "Why don't you help her out? I'm sure she'd appreciate some advice from her peer." His claw finally fell from his neck as he stood tall and glowering. Toyak Toyak's head finally snapped up. "I think that's an… elk? Or a doe…" she mumbled. "It's big. That way." Sun Sun nodded, looking faintly pleased. "Good. Atila, let's see if you can overpower this larger prey. As I said, you need to work on your strength." He nodded at her, his paw finding it's way back to his necklace again. |
