Many packs an ally but are they truly friends? Leaders may be friendly with each other but it is out of fear for the other or the fear of something else? Can they truly be friends, can the packs get along? What is the truth?

(Alright, I'm so sorry, I'm absolutely terrible at starting rps and as I've mentioned, it's been a few years-- do you mind starting?)

(I don't mind, sorry. I meant to but I stupidly forgot)

The three wolves who lead Lighthope sat together deep wishing the taiga. Lunar'wing was not happy to be there but was under close watch for some crimes she had committed, being the daughter of the leader she was never to be left alone. Nebula the heiress sat happily next to her mother enjoying the sunny day and the cool breeze.

Amaryllis, despite many of her pack members being against it, preferred to check on her territory herself. They said it was "dangerous" and she might "get hurt" but she shrugged off their concern, although appreciative, because she felt a good leader would make sure the territory was safe and sound for the pack. She realized the scouts usually did this sort of thing, and often they did, but once more she wanted to make sure for herself. And she would insist on going alone, feeling as though a good leader didn't, in fact, need a bodyguard.

Besides, it soothed her wanderlust. The taiga was a large piece of land and it often took hours to fully wander the borders of the territory.

On this particular day, she sensed something was... different. A new scent was in the air, and it concerned her ever-so-slightly. It also made her curious, and so carefully, and followed the scent.

Nebula was laughing at something her mother said while Lunar grumbled. Saige'wing used to travel by herself and check on her territory but now that she was older she was not as strong as she used to and needed help. She usually just brought Nebula with her butย  after Lunar committed a few crimes she was to be forever monitored. Even Lunar's mate was in on the supervision.
They had a few rabbits in a pile in front of them to eat later for lunch when the sun was high.

Amaryllis' ears perked up-- laughter. She heard laughter. She felt the concern rising within her chest once more. She was an alpha now, and she had wolves to protect. Wolves and young, small, defenseless puppies. She realized that her pack was big, and there were plenty of wolves that were admittedly bigger and stronger than she was.

But they were not the alpha. She was.

So she crouched lowly, attempting to hide in the underbrush as she crept along, her coat not necessarily blending in with the greens of the forest. It made her feel better though, better and proper. The smell continued to get stronger until she was certain whatever was emitting it was just ahead of her.

She nudged a small branch out of her way, eyeing what she assumed to be a mini-camp set up, three wolves she was entirely unfamiliar with sitting together. She hadn't a clue what to do now, and to be honest she wasn't even sure if she was in her territory anymore. Did she approach them? She was out numbered, and if they were dangerous--

She regretted not excepting Specter's invitation to join her in her walk, now.

Nebula was the first to notice the stranger's smell. She got up and trotted over keeping her manner as friendly as possible.
"Hello stranger!"
Lunar watched her sister and snarled, Saige kept a warm composure and watched with curiosity.
It was clear who was the leader by the way the acted and sat near each other. The one sitting comfortably, Saige'wing, sat tall and majestic, while Lunar laid down with her head on the ground looking up to her mother, before Nebula had gotten up she sat with her head low compared to where Saige's head was held.
Nebula was wagging her tail with curiosity.

Amaryllis yipped and jumped back in a manner that definitely wasn't what a wolf attempting to act like a brave, sure, alpha should've reacted like. She quickly regained her composure, embarrassed beyond belief-- how stupid she was, for forgetting to mask her scent! She regarded the wolf suspiciously, but curiously as well.

"...Hello." She greeted in a way she hoped was friendly-enough. She didn't want to come off as hostile, though, just in case the other wolf's friendliness was genuine, and so she decided to introduce herself, "My name's Amaryllis... who might you, er, three be?"

"I am Nebula, my mother, Saige'wing is the one sitting, and my sister Lunar'wing is the laying down. We are the leaders of the Lighthope pack resided not too farโ€ฆ well, I'd say it is pretty far but I is in the taiga. We don't usually come out this far, that is usually the scouts job. Saige'wing is mine and Lunar's mother!"
Lunar'wing acted hostile just enough that Saige wouldn't see and punish her.

Amaryllis eyed Lunar'wing for a few seconds, making a mental note to be careful around that one. But something that Nebula had said caught her attention enough for her to bring her gaze back to her.

"Leaders?" She said-- there could be more than one? She hadn't even taken a mate. Either way, she puffed her chest out in a way she hoped made her look leader-esque. "Oh, well, I'm the leader of The Wandering Spirits." She said rather proudly. Then she thought that, of course it was possible to have more than one leader. She just hadn't thought much about it.

There were those that helped her out, certainly, but lead? Hm. She'd have to think about it, later.

"We reside a while off that way." She motioned with her head to a vague distance behind her.
