Roles:

Lead wolves, or reinencarenents or gods and goddesses are the most powerful and respected wolves of the pack. To disrespect them will get you instantly chased from the pack, punished, or if by a different pack then war or a break in an alliance. Most of the time their are multiple leads consisting of the leads mate and their offspring.

Herbalists are considered to be very important and one of the highest standards needed for the job. Most don't succeed in this job as it requires the most skill. Wolves who work this job are very respected. Healers may have no more then two litters as the pups are not often as good as their mothers at this job.  Herbalists form very close relationships with the leads of the packs as they both have a connection to the gods and goddesses.

Scouts are considered an honer to do as a job. Only the best of the best do it, stud males often work for this job so they can show they are the best for the stud role. Often scouts are given the job of recording events on bones by gnawing inscriptions on them. A very important job and only the best are given this job.

Mentors are considered to be very respected as they have been through many battles or droughts. They get mentorship if they have been through a traumatic event and survived and lived to the age of six.

Hunters are a middle class job, most can do the job and is considered the best job to train for as an apprentice. Adults with this rank are treated well and are respected.

Pups are named by the leads. Pups are taken care of by everyone. Every wolf participates in the care of the next generation.

Adolescents get to pick a role to study, if they fail the test for the selected role they will either become a hunter or a puppysitter depending on what role was trained for.

Puppysitters are related with less respect with the exception of very experienced puppysitters. Very experienced sitters are treated well especially ones borrowed from other packs.
