  • Nations of the Wild is a brand new Discord based RP centered around wolves!
  • It is hopefully a new way to RP for you!
  • Our primary focus is to make things super organic and realistic!
  • There are a variety of biomes to explore, prey to hunt and wolves to meet!
  • This RP is set up for large scale, but we are incredibly small and actually still working on the server!
  • We encourage lengthy posts, a minimum of 3 sentences long!
  • Mod spots open!

What sets this RP apart?

  • This RP is more like forum RPs with different sections being dedicated to people with certain roles
  • Each Biome has 5 territory slots which allows for ANYONE to create their own pack, and if a all territory slots are taken, you and your pack members can battle it out to claim someone else's territory!
  • Since it is so organic, packs must be created based on amount of members rather than a first come first serve basis. This means everyone has a shot at being the leader!
  • If you don't like the way your leader is running the show, then you can overtake them!
  • You have have as many characters as you want so long as you can keep track of them all!
  • Everyone starts off as a loner and you have to naturally integrate yourself into a pack!
  • There will be private channels dedicated for secret meetings to keep things more realistic! No one will overhear your secret conversations and randomly bring it up in the future!
  • Lore, history, and religions are all created by the community rather than one person!
  • Your suggestions will more than likely be implemented into the RP! We are constantly trying to evolve and better the server!

Ok question cause I tried this earlier and got a lot of crap for it.... My wolf character is 6ft but its explained in her story that its a genetic issue caused through cross breeding and inbreeding and things like that... Am I allowed to use her? Its the literal real facts of how genetics work

Like tall or in length?

Either way 6 feet is a stretch, as dire wolves didn't even get that large. Even through cross breeding and inbreeding, it would be incredibly hard to pull off. The largest dogs in the world (far bigger than wolves) only stand at a little over 3 and a half feet tall at the shoulder. Not to mention, such a large wolf would have to be accompined by health problems and would more than likely live a short life span, as that is typically the norm for abnormally large versions of a creature. (Such as extremely tall humans and giant Great Danes)

Its height the length is only about 4ft and shes actually mostly leg length making her pretty lanky... As for it being a stretch its why its based on how genetics work... There is a lot of genetic issues that could cause it... Giant Syndrome is one of the things but she doesnt have it its just an example its basically something that exists in everything and causes them to constantly grow

Yeah but Giant Syndome leads to a lot of health risks and is very rare. Standard wolves are also 4-6 feet long in length so she would look very odd, and the long legs would be part of her SHOULDER height, which is where things get really messed up. She would be double the height of a normal wolf, with the length of a relatively small one.

Genetics wise, again it would have to be through extreme selective breeding and inbreeding, which would bring about MORE health problems due to an abundance of possible genetic mutations leading to health problems. They would struggle to move, eat, and fit in in a pack if they were a giant, and would more than likely die young. Genetics aren't simple, and selective breeding and inbreeding only plays a part in how genetics work. It would take years upon years to develop a wolf that was 6 feet tall (at the shoulder) and through intense selective breeding and inbreeding.

Like we selectively breed cattle, pigs, and horses all the time for desireable traits and it still takes decades for improvement. You would have had to take one large wolf and bred it to another large wolf, and their offspring would only have a chance at coming out as large as one of the parents. Only a genetic mutation would cause them to be larger than their parents if you aren't referring to gigantism.

I mean I have no problem with your character being a large wolf but 6 feet in height is excessively large, 4 feet at length will make your character look absurd, and if you can't just say over and over again "that's how genetics work" because genetics are incredibly complex and riddled with mutations, mysteries, and require more than just big mommy x big daddy = big babby

Well in the RP with her you come across her pack and they all vary in mutations and disorders and things from really messed up cross/inbreeding but nevermind about it

Hello! I just joined the server and I'm not entirely sure how to get started. Do I pm a mod to get a member role?

Yes just go over the rules, request in #role-request, me or a mod will send you a short 5 question quiz, and you will be granted the a member role after completing the quiz! You get unlimited tries and for questions you got wrong we will direct you to the answer rather than make you look through everything again.
