Land of the Domesticated - OOC

I'm looking for people that can at least write semi-literately, proper grammar/spelling/capitalization, and be active at least twice a week. I myself would not be able to keep up if the role-play was super fast, so people willing to go at a more of a slower pace would be preferred. I don't want people who like fast role-plays to be bored by a slow pace.

Land of the Domesticated is set in a post-apocalyptic world without humans. Our characters will be canids - species within the canine family. You can be a dog, a wolf, a fox, a hyena - whatever you fancy, as long as it is a canine. The mass extinction of humans has caused a lot of troubling times for house pets and wildlife alike. Nature is starting to rapidly overtake human settlements at a shocking pace due to experimental radiation leaked in the extinction event. It's only been two months since the mass extinction, but the world looks like it's been 20 years after humans were gone due to the rapid overtake of nature.

Our story takes place in the small town (made up town) of Sirenchester, West. Sirenchester wasn't a large town, but when humans lived here, they did house a bunch of dogs and in the surrounding woods, there were always various types of wildlife, even if it became impractical for that species to live there. But after the apocalypse, many dogs were left without an owner, without a family. Many of the wildlife was left free to roam the streets without fear of the humans hunting them down.

Now, two months later, it is up to you to decide your fate. Will you join the rapidly growing masses of ownerless, broken and lost dogs, will you strike out on your own, or will you submit to the Alpha and have your life forever changed by the whispers of the wind and the calls of the pack?

Rules:

- Please no fighting amongst yourselves. Be kind and respectful to the other people in the role-play. Your characters can have grievances, but please try to be kind to others.
- This role-play is semi-literate. Please try to keep your posts at around 100 words with proper grammar, spelling, and capitalization.
- Characters are required to be semi-realistic. This means that you cannot have non-realistic colors , but due to the radiation, there can be mutations on your animals that must have at least 1 weakness per 2 strengths. Nothing should be OP.
- Battling should not be heavily explicit and character deaths should not be common, but if a physical battle arises, please have a pre-determined winner to avoid conflict.
- Do not post without the approval of your character.
- Do not create major plots without my permission.
- Keep OOC chatter and role-play planning to this thread.
- Since this is a small group role-play, there is no character limit, but please refrain from having your characters in romantic relations with each other.

Hmm I feel like reconsidering Lexxi's role. While she can't hunt due to losing her mind when attacking (which leads to the prey coming back in shreds), the hunters are the first line of defense. Should she stay as a scout or become a hunter?

@Envy007 - She can stay as a Scout due to her inability to hunt an animal in one piece, but also due to that she can join the Hunters whenever there is an immediate threat that needs to be dealt with by force.

It's been a few years since I roleplayed, but this idea sounds really cool. Would you be ok with someone who isn't used to roleplaying joining? (I write in my freetime so I would still be able to do literate responses)
