Opinions then and now: Some of the data from Wolvden surveys

Hello! Last fall or so I released a survey that collected 58 responses from the months August to December, and then this January posted a similar survey that has been collecting responses up until now (we're at 57)! Although only 7 (12%) responders indicated they had taken the original survey, I was interested in seeing if responses differed across the board. I tried to advertise the survey the same way I had originally to keep things consistent, but obviously other factors (such as frequency or time of day of bumping, or the types of people who play the game now versus then) could have influenced the data. Even so, now that I've reached pretty much the same number of responses, I thought now might be a good time to take a look!

Do you enjoy playing Wolvden?*
- 2 (3.5%) of responders answered "no" in the most recent survey compared to 1 (1.7%) in the original.
- 13 (22.8%) of responders answered "sometimes" or some variation of sometimes in the most recent survey compared to 10 (17.2%) in the original.
- 42 (73.7%) of responders answered "yes" or some variation of yes in the most recent survey compared to 47 (81%) in the original.

Is Wolvden's economy in a good place right now?*
- 19 (33.3%) of responders answered "Generally, no" in the most recent survey compared to 27 (46.6%) in the original.
- 31 (54.4%) of responders answered "Heavily depends" in the most recent survey compared to 18 (31%) in the original.
- 2 (3.5%) of responders answered "Generally, yes" in the most recent survey compared to 8 (13.8%) in the original.

The surveys next included a series of questions in which respondents indicated how much they agreed/disagreed with statements. Options included "Strongly Agree", "Agree", "Unsure", "Disagree", "Strongly Disagree", and "Prefer not to answer". For this post "agreed" means respondents who answered "Strongly Agree" and "Agree", and "disagreed" means respondents who answered "Disagree" and "Strongly Disagree".

"I breed for profit".
24% of first survey respondents agreed compared to 23% of second survey respondents.

"I care about inbreeding."
71% of first survey respondents agreed compared to 54% of second survey respondents.

"Raising and chasing wolves is beneficial to the game's economy."
45% of first survey respondents agreed compared to 44% of second survey respondents.

"The price of food is in a good place."
31% of first survey respondents agreed compared to 35% of second survey respondents.
28% of first survey respondents disagreed compared to 18% of second survey respondents.

"The price of toys is in a good place."
21% of first survey respondents agreed compared to 26% of second survey respondents.
29% of first survey respondents disagreed compared to 26% of second survey respondents.

"Feeding and taking care of my wolves is tedious, and takes too much time."
43% of first survey respondents agreed compared to 37% of second survey respondents.

"I am losing interest in the game."
17% of first survey respondents agreed compared to 25% of second survey respondents.

If you are interested in some of the other data that was included on the forms, please let me know and I'll add it here! Putting all of it on would have been very time-consuming so I opted to include what I thought was most interesting, but I will definitely add in information by request :)

ADDITIONALLY: I am collecting currency data through another form linked [here]! If you are comfortable sharing I would love your data.

* All answer choices included a "prefer not to answer" or "other" option. Because of this all percentages may not add up to 100%.

That's an interesting change! Thanks :D
I was one of the dunces who couldn't remember whether I took the previous survey but I did take this (and the currency) one. Thanks for doing these! It's always fun to see how opinions change on things like these and in some way, stuff like this is probably useful to the dev team too.
