The Founding Pair

SilentCrest pack was founded by two wolves, Karlene and Brutus, who were both exiled from a previous pack after a dispute about worshipping a god known as Remus, which in their own beliefs was the god of misfortune. They led their pack with an iron paw, and prospered for many years, until a great plague had fallen upon them. Every day, hunters and scouts were lethargic, as the herbalist was unlucky with his foraging. A young cub struggled to hang on to life as his siblings were tended to intensively. But whatever they do, it was not enough. Adults and cubs alike fell to the great plague as the pack struggled to keep its footing, until luck finally showed itself in a bountiful harvest of herbs.

As many were cured, one wolf in the pack, Seashell, eventually gave birth to what many saw as a blessing: A pure black cub with green eyes, the blessing of their goddess of life: Gaia. With this, the new leader was named Erebus, a name highly respected by the wolves. When the day of Erebus's reign rose, he brought along a foreign female, Akoya. The herbalist was shocked and explained that he, in fact, brought home the descendant of Elena, the goddess of fertility and hope. With those words, the herbalist declared that any offspring born from the pair would be named as part of a very important lineage: The Luna Lineage. Any cub in the lineage that bore the marks and strength of Elena were considered to be crowned as the next pack leader, and are highly respected with top priority above other members. To them, the Luna Lineage was a very sacred treasure, and if lost, it would be likely that Remus would curse them again.

Rekal's Visions

Rekal, one of Akoya's twin cubs and the larger of the two in the first litter, was blessed by Elena, having the ability to see visions provided by the goddess to tell her pack of any dangers lurking ahead, whether it be a plague or a new sign of the immortals. But one day while training, Rekal quickly stopped in her tracks as she was taken into the eyes of Elena, seeing a large wolf before her. The strange wolf's tail sparked with blue essence, and his claws crackled with the force of the thunders that roll in the homeland, followed by a small, strange jaguar cub, whose eyes were like the moonlight above. The male's eyes locked onto the adol before him, before he seemed to have a malicious grin on his face, disappearing with one sentence.

"Mortal, you cannot stop what already have begun. For the storm is coming."

With this shocking vision, Rekal snapped back into reality, the hunting team cancelling the hunt when the adolescent lycan was on the ground and seemingly unconscious, her sister showing a look of concern.

"Sister, are you alright? You've been out for 30 minutes.. you almost got trampled on by an elk."

Rekal didn't answer, she didn't know how to explain her visions, only the herbalist knew of these, and she did not want to cause panic from her family about what Remus had spoken of, or what the "storm" was that seemed so near.

The Storm

With the birth of Rekal's siblings, Ashina and Aela, everything seemed to be just fine. Ashina was also a fated cub, as it turned out from Glade-Keeper Marigold's inspection, that Ashina was able to travel between the realm of the immortals and the living realm, essentially being a Spirit Walker. Aela was fated as well, but Rekal warned the golden-furred herbalist about the supposed "storm" that was approaching. A month passed by after the twin's birth, and the pack sighted something worrisome: a group of five wolves, four of which were wearing bone ornaments that would possibly be coyote bones, with the fifth being adorned in the mask of a jaguar. The leader's body was adorned with bones, assumingly that of a cougar or something larger. But one thing was common for this group: they were searching, no, hunting, for something.  With a low growl, Erebus told the pupsitters to stay in the nursery with the young pups, for the adolescents to stay in their dens, and for his pack of hunters and scouts to follow. However, Rekal refused, as she was a scout, but she was expecting cubs.

"Father, I wish to help with this rally, but I am expecting three cubs. Elena warned me to not engage."

"That is fine, just stay in the nursery with the pupsitters and your mother. Keep your sisters safe."

With that, the rally ran off to disperse the group of rogue wolves, although they couldn't find the leader. Lyra, one of the scouts, was closer to the border of the home territory when she saw the familiar slinking of the leader, who was headed straight for the nursery. With a mix between a growl and a loud "No!", she lunged and bit onto the shoulder of the wolf, who thrown her off and laughed in a deep, malicious tone. Sadly with all the fight that both Lyra and the residents of the nursery had against the rogue, one of the cubs was stolen and killed, to Rekal's horror and grief. That cub was Aela, one of the fated twins who was the descendant of Gaia, the goddess of life.

The Rise Of The Lycans

The Lycans came into the pack with the sole male member of the race: Pine. Being a pure blooded lycan, Pine hoped that he wasn't the only one, and he was right. His mate was also a lycan, as the  SilentCrest Pack decided to home the couple to help keep them safe from humans, and to raise their population.
