I raise my head and sniff the air. My ears perk as I smell something familiar yet forgotten. A wolf...a female...? I stand up from my shady spot under a tree and follow the scent till I find myself only feet away from a she-wolf. I step closer and notice that she looks starved and exhausted. I tilt my head and take another few steps towards her, sniffing her from a distance.

I saw that the females breath was hollow and decided it would be best to get her out of the heat. I walk forward and wiggle under her so that she is laying across my back. I'll take her to my den then go find food for her. He walked to a small hollowed out tree and placed her gently inside. After making sure she was cooling down her turned and ran off in search of food.

I return with a rabbit and squirrel hanging from my mouth. The female was awake now looked confused and terrified. I approached slowly and placed the food a few inches from her. I sit down and smile, wagging my tail as a sign of friendliness. Hello. I say softy, careful not to scare her.
