Hello!

Like a particular look or combo of markings? Do you have a nickname for it? What markings do you like on your wolves?

In Wolvden, I started collecting glaucous based wolves with Slot 1: full black mask, Slot 2: white half mask. I call it the Assassin mask (after my pack, Ukawa Moon Assassins). I have one turquoise with a black full/white half as well. I have started looking for wolves with one of these markings in effort to possibly give it the second marking that it needs to have a full "Assassin mask".

In Lioden, my original king had a brown mask and was albino, so any of his female cubs that would come out albino with a strong brown mask was named Agnes (So even now I have Agnes, Agnes Clone, Agnes III, Pseudo Agnes lol).

I like naming marking schemes that I really like/see often in my pack or pride! Do you have any marking schemes you like and what is the nickname for that scheme you like to see?

I absolutely adore slapping a dilution on anything, and then filling in unused slots with markings the same color of the base just to add to the chances of something passing to the pups. I call this a "Kristin" after my original lead, who is the first wolf like this i ever made (and first wolf in general)

I haven't named anything, but I am picky about how I design using layers. I study genetics in dogs, so I'm interested to see how markings pass on here. I don't change the markings of anyone with a lineage so I can see how patterns pass through generations. G1 wolves layer according to the rule "what would this marking look like with no other marks around it?" Some marks are cool, like the stripe ones, but a real wolf would have that as part of its whole genetic pattern not just floating in empty space. White marks get high slot priority, since they look bad on dark bases at low opacity. Multiple white marks so they add to each other despite lowering opacity in next generations. Blacks and browns get the low number slots so they can have lighter colors layer over them. Also full opacity unless a mark is overwhelmingly bright/dark.
