The characters will all be anthro animals and will have the option to have "cures". These "cures" are mechanical parts meant to make their lives better somehow. The problem with these so called cures? Well there are a few. They don't always make things better and they are expensive. Only the upper class can afford the really high quality items and those anywhere below them are left either relying on bootleg ones or going into dept after getting the "true cures". The workers at the cure parts factory are treated poorly ... rumor says at least... and some end up with life altering injuries due to dangerous work conditions. Is the "Cure" really worth the cost? I'd say just make your own. Basic outlines like species, gender, position and such.
